New Jersey has "rudimentary" voting identification rules. Since the current rule (s) have been in place, if you've been voting consistently (at least annually) since you first registered to vote (which you needed proper identification for initially), you're not required to show identification when you vote. Basically a grandfather clause system. If you fail to vote annually, your name is removed from the registry. Then you need to register again with proper identification to vote. When you go to vote, if your voting record is lapsed, you're voting for the first time, or your signature is off from your prior/initial signature, you'll likely be asked to show identification to match signatures, but it's not mandatory. Not a very good system, but at least it's something.

No but where I live the secretary of state comes on TV and says that to register to vote all you need is a drivers license and the democrat legislature passed a law giving illegal aliens drivers licenses. Can you see the problem with that?
Just another reason to put President Trump back in charge.

Those that are against voter ID are the real racists. They are the ones that believe a black person, or a Mexican person is too stupid or too poor to be able to get state issued ID.

Don’t forget that a Chinese citizen, a university student in Michigan , was able to vote just showing his school ID. And his vote for Harris will count. He’s probably CCP, and do we want the CCP deciding US elections?

Where I grew up, that was the standard way of checking in to vote, to prove who you were. Where I live now, IDs are used.
