Newsweek Did An Article For Who Will Possibly Run And Be A Potential Candidate For The 2028 Presidential Candidate?

From reading the article who would like to see run and possibly win in 2028 for the Republican Party? For those that do not have time to read, I will provide a list of candidates via poll, and if you want to read the article before picking feel free, I will post the link below.

JD Vance was a superstar during the campaign. He is very intelligent and can argue very effectively. The Republicans have a lot of very good candidates. The democrats, not so much.

Its because the democratic primaries are rigged and the populists realized that so people who may be closer aligned to the democrats ran republican instead and reformed the awful republican party into what it is today. Which then causes more people to move over to it and the left is only left with the low information voters who believe the lies and the establishment.

JD Vance is going to be the frontrunner, period. Unless something happens and he decides not to the run, or gets involved in a (serious) scandal in the next few years, he's going to walk away with the nomination, though maybe not as easily as Trump did.

Nikki Haley is finished as far as elected office is concerned. The Republican voters outright rejected her to the point that roughly half of her support came from outside spoilers, and her donors considered her campaign to be a huge waste. The "warhawk conservative" brand is effectively dead as far as the voting base is concerned, despite what Lindsey Graham wants to believe.

Ron Desantis has an uphill battle. He leaves office in two years, which means two more years of being irrelevant before the next election. He's pretty well liked, but he has a bad track record of relying on shady donors to fund a campaign on a national scale.

Brian Kemp will probably be the one propped up by the anti-populist establishment, because he's more middle of the road, and being from Georgia will be considered a perk, while he hasn't trashed himself like Haley did.

If Sarah Sanders makes a run, she'll start making moves about halfway into Trump's term. I don't think she will aim for the top of the ticket if JD Vance is in the running though, because both represent essentially the same interests and general groups and would cannibalize each other's chances against whoever the neocons try to prop up.

Greg Abbott isn't going anywhere, especially if Desantis is in the running. As a Texan, I'm not really sure why he keeps getting put on a pedestal, because his leadership has been very passive/just doing what's expected of his position. Admittedly, this is in part because the governorship of Texas has very little power compared to that of most states, but I don't think there's much of a question that both Desantis and Sanders have shown more initiative and leadership in executive roles. His stances on issues beyond the concerns of the state of Texas are also largely unknown.

Lara Trump probably won't run for president (at least not in 2028) but she might run for a state seat of some kind, or take a cabinet position in another administration. It's also entirely plausible she will stick to managerial roles outside of the spotlight where she feels she can do more without constant scrutiny. The only Trump family member other than Donald that clearly has political aspirations that could end up with a presidential run is Barron, and he won't be eligible for a couple decades.

You didn't mention Tulsi Gabbard. Now that she has formally joined the Republican Party, and is presumed to be taking a cabinet position in the Trump administration, it is much more likely that she will attempt to run on the ticket in the near future, especially to oppose a Haley (or similar) neocon.

You also didn't mention Vivek Ramaswamy. Much like the above, his running would likely be in direct opposition to someone else. There's rumors that he will be taking Vance's vacated Senate seat in Ohio, or that he's going to run for the state's governorship in a few years if he isn't already taking a cabinet position.

Lara Trump sabotages the RNC by taking their funds to funnel into Donald Trump’s personal bank account when it could be used on the campaigns of other prominent candidates whether local or Federal.

Ron Desantis tried to frame undocumented immigrants with a crime by sending them to Martha’s Vineyard so they’d get kicked out of the country by force…

Nikki Haley is a complete and total flip flopper who is an opportunist, same with JD Vance who called Trump “America’s Hitler”. There is no reasonable explanation why either flipped other than to get power at the expense of truth & honesty & transparency. JD Vance also helped pen Project 2025 supported with Heritage Foundation, Liberty University, Moms of Liberty, and other Right Wing Billionaire Ran Groups.

Gregg Abbott also shipped busload after bus load of illegal aliens out of his state into democrat run cities. This might have been the biggest factor in Trump's victory. Suddenly everyone lived in a border state and nobody liked it.

If Texas doesn't withdraw Greg Abbott and Ron Desantis is probably the best proven leaders we have. Particularly Abbott who's skillful leadership of Texas has proven himself a remarkable leader. That said he may be too Texan for such skills to translate outside of the lone star state or unwilling to run. Greg maybe as likely to be president of Texas as president of theses united states.

Ron Desantis's ability to act decisively rival's Abbott's it quite likely if Florida was a real border state he would prove himself as capable as Abbott.

Brian Kemp is really an incomplete leader at best or RINO backstabber at worse, his mistakes as secretary of state of Georgia prove him be a big problem for the republican party worse than Nikki Haley.

Sarah Huckabee Sanders, does not stand out and needs more time to prove herself in Arkansas before 2028.

JD Vance may be the natural nominee as Vice President but he is not yet distinguished or experienced enough for the job. He needs to do something impressive, otherwise we are better off with Ron or Abbot.

From a non-American viewpoint JD was impressive and a tough debater plus has a common sense view.

I suspect Trump's endorsement will be critical. JD has worked well with Trump who seems to appreciate him and in 2028 JD will be able to say he has learnt from Trump and there is Trump's work to continue. Republicans will see him with 2024 glasses on.

I have to think it will be JD Vance's nomination to lose more than win.

If he is sensible he will chill out for a week and then start building connections.

It’s too early to tell, but DeSantis has been a very good governor. We’ll see how Vance does as VP, but he’s got a lot of positives. Haley would make a good VP in 2028.
