Going strictly off of poling data, Bernie Sanders is the only one who hasn't completely imploded, but the Democrats will never allow him to be their frontrunner. We've seen this twice now, plus he's almost as senile as Joe is at this point, and that is absolutely a factor in why Democrats are turning their backs on Joe.
The media is trying to get people to rally behind Gavin Newsome, Pete Buttigieg, or Hillary Clinton, and more recently with AOC but none of them are really gaining any steam, which really isn't all that surprising. Their best bet is to unveil a fairly unknown but charismatic individual with little or no visible ties to the current administration who can con people into believing things will get back on track to stability when they get into office. Remember, the way the Democratic party works, it's irrelevant who holds the office of the president because it's a figurehead and mouthpiece for the will of the party, not a lynchpin to loosely unite a fractured party like for the Republicans. Bernie is an uncooperative asset as far as the Democrats are concerned, so even though a lot of his socialist views are a wet dream to the Democrats, they don't want him in the office.
I’d like to see a centrist. The president who signed the fewest bills but had the highest net positive impact per bill they did sign because they weighed the pros and cons of every bill and tried to get bipartisan agreement on everything.
I can see it now, the president of analysis paralysis.

@goaded And that was a different time too. Right now they have migrant workers who travel on a schedule with different crops ripening. Also a lot of workers who cross the border daily for jobs in the US. That is fine but we don't have jobs for all of Mexico and South America.

@goaded; Stop gaslighting us. Reagan wasn't for a completely porous border and for paying for insurance for illegals like Newsom is. And the 1986 bipartisan amnesty was supposed to provide border security in return.
And just because Reagan may have said something in a debate in 1980, it doesn't mean it was good policy or would be good policy today.

Biden is the incumbent. So, it should be him. But, that doesn't mean he's who the Dems want. If possible, I'd like Sanders to get the Democratic nomination. Harris, meanwhile, has been hoping and praying for Biden's natural death during this first term. Otherwise, she'll have to hatch a plan to make that happen.
No, the others can run against him and will. A record number I predict. They will take shots to the point I think Biden will decide to drop out. However , this also helps Trump because they will blast Biden on how bad things are. Everyone knows with Trump you will get less inflation, $2 a gallon gas , and no war with Russia. Those are positives for Trump.
If one side ever uspended elections it will be the Democrats , not the Republicans. Democrats would love to have a reason to. They could force abortions on everyone, take all guns, eliminate free speech and religion. End Military branches and police , start using brown shirts to beat Christians and Conservatives up.
I mean, if you honestly believed that, you would want to get to the bottom of who is actually passing laws that allow state governments to pick who wins instead of conceding to the will of the voters, and you would discover it to be 100% republicans.
