There's about a 0% chance I would vote for any democratic presidential candidate for a while, at least until they have a massive shift in goals and priorities. They treat the office of the president as a figurehead, so as long as the "D" candidate wins, the agenda stays the same and the country is pretty much going to go the same direction regardless of what they say in elections. Biden was elected as a moderate, but his administration is basically what Kamala Harris ran on, and it's not really a secret that she was who the Democrats really wanted until her campaign floundered.

The Democrats absolutely need to slam on the brakes and veer in a different direction like yesterday if they don't want to get demolished later this year. Pretty much everybody who has their hands dirty with the current administration is damaged goods at this point, so their best chance is to pull a charismatic and knowledgeable but largely unknown candidate out of a hat. It appears as though the Democrats want to prop up Pete Buttigieg, and they're testing the waters with Matthew McConaughey, but neither of them are holding up under even minor scrutiny because Pete is a narcissistic idiot who dances through everything like an overpaid business consultant, and Matthew is basically an "I support the current thing" meme on legs. Bernie Sanders is still the highest-polling Democrat in the country, and he's never going to be allowed to be the candidate even by his own party. All that said, there is no question whatsoever that Gabbard and Yang had the most public support among democrats here in north Texas during the last primary, yet both of them were basically panned into oblivion by the media, Tulsi probably won't ever run as a Democrat again since she's been basically blacklisted by the Clintons, and Yang can't even secure a city election it seems.

I hope AOC does run. She'll actually have to debate people both inside and outside of her party rather than running away screaming sexism like she always does, and her inevitably terrible performance would probably destroy her career. No, if she or her puppetmasters have any sense, she will be in Congress indefinitely (like Pelosi) because she couldn't win anything outside of her own district. Part of the necessary Democratic rebranding though would be to primary radical morons like her out of office.

Then Jack Ruby silenced the supposed killer…. right in the garage of the Dallas PD.

All to save Jackie and the kids from having to return to Dallas for a trial.

I guess when he wasn’t breaking limbs to collect loan shark debts he volunteered at a soup kitchen and donated illegal gambling proceeds to orphanages.

I would love to see AOC be the Democrat nominee. She would be an easy target and the election would be a monumental landslide for the Republican candidate.

Yang is the most well-spoken and intelligent. His policies would destroy whatever freedoms Americans have left with UBI, which would work well until you run out of other people's money. I wouldn't like to see him as president, but he does at least listen to detractors, which is more than most politicians these days.
AOC is an idiot, who spends far more than her fair share of time in the spotlight because of that.
Buttigieg has proven himself an incompetent nincompoop as Secretary of Transportation, he took months off on paternity leave (in his homosexual relationship, you know he wasn't breastfeeding) while the country was facing one of the biggest supply chain problems ever. Some leadership that is.

Kamala Harris’s approval ratings are even lower than Biden’s. Right now Biden has a lower approval rating than Trump at the same time of his term and he has gotten the full support and coddling of the mass media (including Jimmy Kimmel massing his very numb nether regions.)

So I don’t know if it’s possible to have a negative approval rating but Harris could very well accomplish that.

And Pete Butt bud…excuse me buttigueg. What the hell has he accomplished by taking two months off for “paternity leave” during a shipping crisis?

I actually would be amused if AOC ran. Seriously. Put her up against Ron De Santis and then you will see the imposible: long time blue states turning red. Seriously she would f*ck up her campaign so bad with her commie insanity that you would see California turn Republican.

Donald Trump... it's the only chance that party will beat DeSantis. I'm joking but to be real... that party is so fucked from the inside out I have no idea. Personally, Tulsi Gabbard could've pulled my vote, but they were never going to allow that to happen. It's so damn establishment oriented for them that they've pushed that psycho Hillary Clinton and this feeble old man Biden... it's like why? Fucking Berny Sanders probably would actually win but they pushed her. That party is fucked from the inside out.

Democrats should be banned 🚫. Only JFK was the only best candidate.

Between Democrats and Republicans. None of them. I mean I will vote only if a president removes cash. That is where mostly people are not paying taxes. This can help industries to revive. A president that will stop giving free money from our taxes. I have neighbor that drive lexury vehicles. That sells food stamps and or buys Gatorade and re sells them at the soccer games. Uses that money to pay her debts. I see disabled people waiting in line to get their payments while my neighbor take advantage just to show off lexury and pretends that her husband has a business.

All those businesses using cash are avoiding taxes will be obligated to do payment electronically.

Even Asians prefer cash on their businesses. From food to nail salons or massages.

The democrat party has gone hopelessly insane. They want to dismantle our culture, our economy and our system. They will have to find someone outside their cartel of Morons. As a MAGA guy, I won't name a good one because I do not want to help them win. But there is one who could contend with DeSantis, Trump, Tim Scott or Jim Jordan. At least he'd have a chance.

A candidate that has the most probability of actually putting up a decent fight would need to be able to convince some Republicans to vote for him or her. That basically means it would necessarily need to be someone closer to the center.

With respect to AOC, Bernie Sanders and such. Progressives like them got crushed by a far more centrist Democrat like Adams in NYC. If these progressives can’t win NYC, they won’t win the country

And for him, he could barely put up a fight in the end in NYC. That doesn’t win the country

What do the Democrats have to offer? They had two years with the house and presidency, and a 50/50 split in the senate, refused to compromise and instead lost some of their own party pushing insane spending bills getting us into one crisis after the next. They’ve been taken over by so many extreme Leftists that they’re starting to lose Liberals.

Figured I'd give some more context. I think what they do is create an us vs them mentality & that's how we make it easy to be controlled. I think behind the scenes they're working together. A united people are hard to control but divided ones are easy & it's up to all of us to realize this & hopefully make the world a better place as a result. I have hope in humanity but it seems to me it takes great danger to bring the best & worst out of all of us.

I thought about it and you may be on to something. When campaigning, Democrats and Republicans appear to be two different species. And, in congress, they fight tooth and nail but that may be all for show because when they vote enough of them vote alike. And, the laws that pass may be good for big corporation but they are not good for us.

    Andrew Yang won't.
AOC will only JUST turn legally old enough on Election Day in 2024, so she may not qualify during primary season. And she won't run either.
Pete Buttigieg won't either - not in 2024.

President Biden will likely run for a 2nd term in 2024.

However, for the 2028 election, that's 6 years away and a lot can happen.

First and foremost, many people - GOP or DEM - who do not have much experience now, will have 6 more years of it then. That's important because, not often, do people win Presidential elections if they have just been legislators and not have had some kind of experience in a leadership/executive role. In politics, Obama did it, but he did lead as a "community organizer" and he was an effective President being intelligent enough to know when to lead. Biden ran for President a few times, but he didn't become President until AFTER he was Obama's Vice President. Trump wasn't in political office but ran a corporation. Bush 43 was a Governor. Clinton was a Governor. Bush 41 was a Vice President. Reagan was a Governor. Carter was a Governor. Ford wasn't elected to Vice President or President; he was just a Congressman before becoming Vice President elected by the House. Nixon was a Vice President. Johnson was a Vice President. Kennedy was a Senator. Eisenhower was a General. Truman was a Vice President. FDR was a Governor. etc...

So, whoever does run in 2028 should have considerable leadership experience in some way. Sometimes, just being a Senator is good enough. McCain was like that and, if he hadn't sabotaged himself and ran into the GOP being at a low point in popularity in 2008 or got fucked over by the Bushes in 2000, he probably would have gotten elected President and been reasonably effective.

AOC is still young and won't even be 40 in 2028, so she's probably out. Buttigieg's future depends partly on the re-election of Biden because Buttigieg is now a Cabinet Secretary which is a leadership position and he WAS an effective Mayor and that IS a respected leadership position. Between now and 2028, he may seek a different Cabinet position or run for Governor of Indiana to bolster his credentials. Furthermore, by 2028, being gay will be less of an issue with red states than it is now.

Also for the DEMs in 2028, I would expect that current NY Governor Kathy Hochul will be re-elected in 2022 and perhaps in 2026. If she wins again in 2026, there is a good chance she might run for President.

Kristen Gillibrand might run again soon, but she needs to be more visible and with a better leadership role.
I also think that, if NJ Senator Cory Booker ever becomes the NJ Governor, he would be a serious candidate for President in 2028.
I don't think Kamala Harris will run for President or, if she does, she'll lose in the primaries.

@abc3643 @OddBeMe Nothing in the Constitution would prevent AOC from running, If elected, she would be 35, 3 months, and 7 day on Jan 20, 2025 which I believe it is day she would be sworn in as president and take office. However, I didn't find Jan 20 in the Constitution. That doesn't guarantee she would run and in no way implies she would get the nomination; let alone elected.

      @kelleynice

I am glad that you did your homework about January 20th.
However, the 20 JAN date is specified in the Constitution.
That date is specified in the 20th Amendment which was ratified in 1933.

      Section 1 of Amendment XX:
The terms of the President and Vice President shall end at noon on the 20th day of January, and the terms of Senators and Representatives at noon on the 3d day of January, of the years in which such terms would have ended if this article had not been ratified; and the terms of their successors shall then begin.

But, it's important to know that the no date for Inauguration Day was set in any of the 7 articles of the original 1787 Constitution because no one could know when that would be! That's because of Article VII, the last original article in the Constitution:

      Article VII
The ratification of the conventions of nine states, shall be sufficient for the establishment of this Constitution between the states so ratifying the same.

In other words, since no one knew when 9 states would ratify the Constitution and which states they would be, they had no way of knowing when the first inauguration would or should occur.

On 21 JUN 1788, the 9th state, New Hampshire ratified the Constitution. At that point, that meant that the Constitution would eventually go into effect with the Articles of Confederation becoming null and void.

So, in principle, any day after 21 JUN 1788, the National Government operating under the Constitution could have started, but, logistically, that was not possible to start then; people have to travel to the capital, state legislatures would need to elect Senators, etc.

Furthermore, New York and Virginia had not yet ratified and, realistically, because of the size and location of those states, the US under the Constitution would have been extremely difficult to govern without both states joining. Fortunately, with the conditions of Article VII now satisfied, the writing was on the wall and so those states both ratified before August with the 10th state being Virginia which ratified on 25 JUN 1788 and 11th state being New York which ratified on 26 JUL 1788. North Carolina, the last big state, was the 12th state, but they didn't ratify until November 1789 by which time the new Federal Government was already operation with Washington already as President.

      Back to the transition though...
The Confederation Congress was existing National Government under the Articles of Confederation and it was still in power until it decided it wasn't. So, it had to set a date to transition the National Government from a confederation under the Articles of Confederation to a federation under the Constitution. The date the Confederation Congress chose was Wednesday 04 MAR 1789. That is "Day One" of our Federal Government.

George Washington would become our first President almost two months later being sworn in on 30 APR 1789 at Federal Hall in New York City which was the first nation's capital; the capital moved to Philadelphia in 1790.

But, all Presidential terms started and ended on 04 MAR with the Washington's 2nd term inauguration on 04 MAR 1793 being the first and last one being FDR's first term inauguration on 04 MAR 1933, 140 years later. FDR's second term inauguration was on 20 JAN 1937 because the 20th Amendment was ratified before then. And it has been 20th January ever since.

I'll name 3 of them for you. BBC, WION, Sky News Australia. You can figure out the rest on your own since you won't believe any truth anyways. I know, I have seen your opinions on here plenty of times. Just liberal propaganda and lies.

doesn't really matter. They're toast at this point... so the dems will probably throw a sacrificial lamb like Kamala, then claim everyone's racist for not electing her.

I think Gavin Newsome would also be a good choice. He already beat a recall election.

None of them they’re all delusionally detached from reality. The Democratic Party is a joke and I hope it stops being a major political party

@888theGreat If you include unfunded liabilities it is already over $100 trillion:

When you include unfunded liabilities such as Social Security and Medicare, that actual US debt stands at $123.11 trillion, according to the Financial State of the Union 2021 published by Truth in Accounting.

In order to pay off all of Uncle Sam’s liabilities, every taxpayer in the US would have to write a check for $796,000.
