Most people already know which way they're going to vote (democrat or republican), even before they know who the nominees are, and thanks to the ridiculous electoral college system, it doesn't matter which way most of the others vote anyway.
The only people whose votes actually matter, are a tiny number of relatively moderate voters in a handful of swing states. Obviously the democrats are well aware of that, and will pick what they consider to be a "moderate" candidate, instead of someone their base could get behind. That means no Bernie, AOC, Buttigieg, etc. It also means that someone like Josh Shapiro could be a good bet - he's governor of Pennsylvania, a swing state worth a hefty 19 seats in the electoral college.

California gave to other states more than Texas took from other states last year. It supports and is self sufficient. Any comments about it being in debt is grossly inaccurate.
The wildfire approval of federal funds is in trumps court. He pulled Bidens approval of the release of funds. "we're going to cut fema. fema bad."
FEMA is not bad it's a scape goat for yet another fed branch which needed modernizing not slaughtering.
I'm not a huge fan of Newsom but I'll take his honesty over trumps lies every day of the week.

Hmmm, maybe. I know the right didn't expect that out of Kamala. She's not exactly known to not want better positions careerwise. Word is though... the party itself was going to destroy her. They have a bunch of dirt on how she was during her time as VP and was going to roast her to get rid of her. She might like these positions of power, but she has a reputation of not doing much as far as "work." So with that bit of info it makes sense that she's going to avoid the conflict for damage control reasons.
