Democrats in 2020 were clouded by their obsession with defeating Trump, they would choose anybodyβ¦. Anybodyβ¦. Vice President Biden. What shouldβve happened was him promising to only last one term and passing the torch to a new generation later or the Democratic Party making it perfectly clear he can only last ONE TERM. People voted for the Pandemic & Civil Unrest (mainly Pandemic) NOT for defeating Trump. That is where the 21 million + Americans came from making the total 81 million. 60+ million actual Democrats, 74+ million MAGA.
2024β¦. Biden loses the first debate, puts his VP on the ticket and she bombs. What happened? All that news coverage & politicians & all making Trump the main focus pushed away housing market, putting food on the table, etc. which everyday Americans want, Trump never brought those concerns at his rallies though Harris barely didnβt even make public her plainsβ¦.
My solution for the Democratic Party: Establish a young man who is appealing to everyday peopleβs needs in the same βBiden wayβ that he touched peopleβs heartstrings during the Global Pandemic. Keep the news feed on them, keep the policies known, no flip flopping and for f*ck sake donβt talk about Trump as much until October 2028 to sell home your platform.
