We have a 50% turn out to begin with. So if there was a 25% to even an extreme 99% turnout of voters it is possible that its just for shits and giggles sake. Not likely but one any 1 given year it's possible. With that in mind.

2020 wasn't just a shit and giggle kinda year was it? Something happened that impacted globally on a daily basis. If there was only one election with higher impact on our daily life comparable to let's say a hypothetical revolutionary war vote. I'd give a slight edge to the 2020 election to even George Washington becoming the first president. Just in day to day in your face routine.

Everyone was home and jobless from covid so everyone had time to vote and the frustration was a big motivating factor. If election day was a national holiday and people were off, there would be that kind of turnout all the time.
