1 yMy advice: America shouldn’t elect the billionaires & richest corporation owners whose agenda is cracking down union groups wanting better working conditions, firing workers on strike to send a strong clear message against overworked under paid overstressed work force…. We should elect leaders who actually care about us and our best interest (which enriching themselves through the trust we place into them)
Elon Musk Donald Trump said these things on their recorded chat on ‘X’. Floated the idea and supported the idea of punishing workers who strike and making it legal to fire striking workforce demanding better conditions. This is worth investigating for the average worker out there because Elon Musk wanted to get rid of the Orange Safety Vest at ‘SpaceX’ facilities ran by him because they outfits are ugly as on work injuries (including losing appendages like fingers) were at an all time high. Not the guy you want running the country to bring us back to a time before the Triangle Shortwaist Fire…. Those who fail to learn from history are doomed to repeat it. Research all this please.

I am pro Union, pro striking, pro better work conditions with antiquate pay that allows families to combat growing inflation rates also helping Gen Z own a house in the future…. Elon Musk doesn’t seem to be on the right side because he hadn’t worked a day in his life. His family owned an Emerald Mine which led to him being rich, he isn’t self made at all. Elon Musk used his money to buy the science & knowhow that made ‘SpaceX’ also he didn’t want to own ‘X’ though was forced into owning it…. This guy is super rich and that is it. No quality to be in a leadership position. None whats so ever.

1 yMost likely not. But he would be more effective doing what he is doing and being a supporter/advisor or even a cabinet member. He can more “pure” on his views and beliefs that way anyway.
When you run for high office you have to compromise yourself whether you like it or not. Even Donald Trump has to compromise his real beliefs. That maybe hard to believe but it’s true.
Also as @WhiteSteve said you have to be born in the USA to be president and Elon was born in South Africa. We didn’t amend the constitution for Arnold Schwarzenegger so I doubt we will do it for Elon.

So you're saying that Trump just needs to invade South Africa and make it the 51st state? I guess I know what will be on my 2025 bingo card.

@KingslayerC I doubt we wanna take on South Africa along with all of its problems lol. There's a reason Elon Musk left and is much more invested in America

Yeah that country is a complete trainwreck. The war would last two weeks and the hardship would last eternally 😂
No, and I don't think Elon wants to be president.

1 yNo, he's not a natural born US citizen, which is the first of the three requirements defined in the US Constitution to be President.
The public asked a similar question about German-born Henry Kissinger in the 1970s. He was a powerful man in Nixon's administration, but could never be President.
33 ReplyThis poses an interesting scenario:
According to some, an embryo is life.
So... if a baby had been made outside of U. S. territory (on vacation or such) it can't be President.- 1 y
@andreasderjuengere Not true. If at least one parent is an American citizen, and the baby is born in another country, say on vacation, the baby is considered, by law to be a natural born US citizen, if the baby's parents declare that upon return to the US.
I now know more. Thank you
1 yThe Constitution says you need to be born in the US- but that's not an absolute obstacle. Up until Martin Van Buren came along, NONE of the US Presidents had been born in the US, since it hadn't existed at the time- which means the law also applies to places that BECOME part of the US, after your birth, but before your running.
So theoretically, yes- IF the US annexes South Africa in the next four years. I don't think that's likely, though.

Anonymous(36-45)1 yThe presidency is way below Elon Musk's intellect and is a huge waste almost a crime against humanity to waste his time and intellectual energy in the presidency.
Elon should actually be doing things important like building new rockets, cars, boring equipment etc...
The presidency is an office that should be reserved to lesser idiots given how little of its judgement actually matters in the game.16 Reply- 1 y
@monorprise "Lesser idiot" is a great way to describe trump. Did you know that Musk was, for a time, an illegal immigrant working in the US? Hold your horses with your infatuation, dude. He's an immature man-child who lucked out during the dot-com bubble and benefitted mostly from the work of others. As examplified by his experience at PayPal in the early 2000's and his relatively recent takeover of twitter, he has often proved that he was in fact a nuisance for the well-being and the success of the businesses that he's been in charge of. He's a garbage person, completely drunk with power, who's got way too much money for what his actual contribution to the world constitutes.
He's an investor, period (and not always a good one). He's not a genius building rockets. His employees at SpaceX are and he takes credit for it because he's the billionaire who's paying them.
Opinion Owner1 y@Danzigdawson Elon was a driving force behind many if not most of his companies. The man is a workaholic who inspires the same in his people. Driving them to get results, while Elon helps keep them on track. That is elon's real skill, his ability to judge what is useful and motivate people to excel.
These characteristics would make Elon an outstanding executive but the lack of real power in that office over an ungovernable large goverment he can't get rid of politically would also mean Elon's judgement would go to waste.
So what is likely to happen is Elon is likely to recommend vast reforms and congress like the last several times reforms were recommended will just ignore it wasting Elon's ever soo valuable time. All a result of the fact that in the end federal politicians are not interested in an efficient or effective goverment at all. They are only interested in a cashcow to buy votes with and pretend to lord over other people with. At the end of the day that is the real propose of most of all of the federal leviathan goverment.
The fact that it is ungovernable is a minor defect in which they have little interest in really fixing.
So ultimately this is a waste of time I would very much prefer Elon spend on productive innovation in the private sector.- 1 y
Elon is worthless garbage, paradoxically. As a boss, he thinks that he can ask his employees to put their whole lives on hold for his own glory. You're damn right that he's a workaholic and that's not a good thing.
As a manager, he thinks that he'll get results by creating a climate of terror and repression. He'll fire people randomly, threaten his employees into producing results and he also makes them sign ultra-punitive non-disclosure agreements. He's also known to have made a number of racist and sexist statements in the workplace, as well as being generally stupid and unpleasant as a person.
He's an 1850's style industrial revolution era piece of shit tyrant of a manager who sees his employees as machines. I think that explains his extreme interest in robots and AI. Poor little Musk is disappointed by humanity's limits 😥
Opinion Owner1 yI think you might be better served if you try and insult someone who hasn't done soo many things nobody else has before him managed to do. @Danzigdawson Your juvenile insults and entirely illrelevent claims really just make you look immature.
Elon is certainly a workaholic and demands a lot from his employees but his employees and Elon also get a lot of results.
I couldn't care less what Elon has said, nor whether or not he is personally a pleasant person to be around. Nobody is forced to work for Elon or be around him, they choose to because they like Elon want to get amazing results.- 1 y
He's just someone with way too much money, which means that he's able to hire the cream of the crop: those who actually are genuises. His own ideas are mostly stupid and impractical. Remember the hyperloop project? Solar city? The near brankruptcy of SpaceX back in 2008?
Juvenile insults and 'immaturity' does not instantly means that one isn't right. You're backing up your claims with your own laudatory assessment of Musk's capabilities, not verifiable facts.
Opinion Owner1 y@Danzigdawson Bill Gates and Jeff Bezos had even more money for a longer time and hired the best they could find too, but didn't get anything close to the results Elon got.

1 yUnfortunately no, because of a dumb law that says they have to be born in the U. S., even though Ted Cruz was born in Canada and was allowed to run. Point being, we're not as nice as Israel, where you don't have to be born there to be the President.
But who knows? Theoretically Trump could get the law changed to allow it. Unlikely, but theoretically it could happened
