Thoughts On Some Liberals Going Insane After Trump Winning?

Okay so I am genuinely concerned. After randomly watching videos of people freaking out on YouTube and having friends (even some overseas) send me videos, and I have been seeing these meltdowns on Instagram, Twitter, TikTok, YouTube, basically all social media. And I seriously do have a question and the question is are these people okay? Look, now I have some friends that did vote for Kamala and yeah they were bummed/disappointed when she lost but guess what, they moved on and went about their day. I have a friend who works for suicide hotline and she told me their phones have been going off nonstop cause now people have lost their will to live and don't want to be alive anymore cause Kamala lost. You have women refusing to have sex, and some have not only broken up with their boyfriends but now you have married women divorcing their husbands because she lost and Trump won. Some women are even shaving their heads cause "hair is too feminine and they're refusing to be females right now". Some are even going as far hoping women have pregnancy complications, to be sexually assaulted, and for children to be motherless because they voted for Trump or didn't vote at all. Some are hoping anyone Latino/Hispanic gets deported cause they either voted for Trump or didn't vote. Harm towards black men. Some are even going so far to making death threats. And now you have some blocking their families and look my dad and all my male cousins are Trump supporters and I would never disown my family, end a friendship, and breakup/divorce my significant other over this. This is sanity and I'm genuinely concerned. Are they trying to get committed to the funny farm? Do we need to hire someone to perform an exorcist? What do y'all suggest cause y'all I understand they're upset but they need to calm down and stop acting freaking insane, even my friends that voted for Kamala didn't act like this.

The past nine years have featured a constant media bombardment (campaign is not strong enough a word) demonizing the guy, to the point that one of them actually tried to kill him, knowing he'd die in the process. They've been whipped up into a frenzy over the potential- and then successful- election of the great and terrible... most liberal Republican candidate of my lifetime.

When Obama was elected, I remember laughing as I watched the terrified Republicans declaring this was the end of the world. I said "Calm down. He's been elected President, not god-emperor. He's going to enact some policies and appoint some judges you won't like, but he's not going to destroy the country.". Naturally, no one paid me any attention. And while Obama did enact some policies that he should've been tarred and feathered for (like taking the Orwellian "anti-terrorism" apparatus of Dubya's he'd promised to destroy and instead doubling it in size), some that should've seen him on trial for treason (issuing bills of attainder, which the Constitution explicitly says you can't do), and some that should've seen him put up against a wall and shot for crimes against humanity (making possession of certain chromosomes in the wrong place worthy of summary execution), none of that was what the Republicans were complaining about.

Then, when Trump was elected, I remember laughing as I watched the terrified Democrats declaring this was the end of the world. I said "Calm down. He's been elected President, not god-emperor. He's going to enact some policies and appoint some judges you won't like, but he's not going to destroy the country.". I laughed- but this time, I was laughing alone. And while Trump did a better job of keeping his promises than Obama did, he was no Polk. Still, he didn't implement mass executions of illegal immigrants, didn't order homosexuals sent to forced conversion camps, and didn't even arrest Hillary Clinton.

The fact that there's STILL so much hysteria around his re-election has me worried; are we going to go through this EVERY time now?

2016 was the first election I got to participate in so I was in 5th grade when Obama was first elected and I guess either a lot of this stuff went over my head or the media kept really quiet about these things Obama did.

It didn't surprise me that Obama did these things but the only things people criticize him for anymore was that he drone struck an American citizen named Abdulrahman al-Awlaki in Yemen, which was a country we were not at war with, Obamacare and the Dear Colleague Letter.

I know the Patriot Act existed under Obama since that was when Snowden blew the whistle and that was what made me realize how disgusting it is, but I didn't know Obama expanded it though this does not surprise me either.

Can you go into more detail about the "making possession of certain chromosomes in the wrong place worthy of summary execution" part? I am not familiar with that an I am curious to hear about this.

His drone warfare doctrine was that any "military aged-male" (which would be roughly from 14-70) in a drone strike zone was to be considered an "enemy combatant" unless they were posthumously cleared by evidence. Now, they obviously don't announce strike zones before making attacks, meaning anyone in a place the US was attacking was vulnerable. And not only did he choose to reverse the burden of proof (they needed to be proved INNOCENT), which meant he could claim far fewer civilian casualties, he also abandoned ANY pretext of trying to genuinely identify who the militants were- I mean, could it be proven from YOUR surviving records that you weren't, or weren't planning to, be in arms against the government of, say, Yemen? Drones can't arrest people, so there's no trial involved, and the after-the-fact justification is "you need to prove your innocence to US"- hence the summary execution part. And the chromosome part is that it's gender-based.

If Dubya had done something like this, it would have been just as awful, but the man's an idiot, and that would been at least SOME mitigation. Obama is a CONSTITUTIONAL LAWYER. He has no excuse whatsoever.

I can understand women's concerns for abortion rights. But, aside from that, these people with their attitudes toward conservatives and Republican voters are insane.

They are truly the most ignorant, bigoted, hateful, fanatical and deplorable ideologues of all.

Can you imagine such people getting their way in this country. Talk about terrifying.

I love that the left is finally showing their true colors.

I saw so many of them wishing for mass deportations all of a sudden because half of Latinos voted for Trump. Mind you those deportations are not going to affect anyone who voted for him because those who did are all citizens and most likely their whole families are either legal residents or citizens themselves. Plenty of those Latinos are second or third generation or have had family here further then that. So who are those deportations going to affect? The illegal immigrants whom the left claims to care for and uses as a pawn, their racism goes to the point of wishing deportation for people who didn't even vote for the candidate they hate. You tell me what that really says about them.

Instead of asking themselves why they lost the election in nothing less than a landslide (with the senate and house being majority Republican as well) and working to regain the trust of voters, they choose to make it worse, guess they want to drive even more people away.

People took the media fearmongering to heart and now actually believe that they are in danger, so they stupidly decided to broadcast themselves on the internet where this supposed dictator can track their IP address instead of tossing their phones away and hiding under the floorboards or something.

The more I see of stuff like this, the more sorrow I feel. Assuming, of course, that these reactions are genuine; part of me wonders if some of them are doing it for clicks.

I don't necessarily fault them, but more the content they consume and the influences around them. Yeah, they share some blame too, but I know that there's a much bigger picture as well.
