Which Americans? For decades the United Kingdom GDP per capita has been somewhere between Mississippi and Alabama 2 of our poorest states. (I remember checking back in the early 2000's it has not changed much)

That said if the united kingdoms were allowed to become American States instead its quite likely the the 4 kingdoms would rocket to the top in terms of GDP per captia as much of their more impoverished population promptly moving to other American states offering them much better jobs.
Leaving those who remain in those kingdoms to be mostly the wealthy that can afford to pay the taxes and regulations leaving its GDP per-captia 2-3 times what it is now or similar to New England states.

Nope. The UK has a lower per capita GDP than the USA and much smaller overall GDP as a country. If you were to compare the UK to the USA, you would have to compare them to a state and consider them like a low performance California. They are sizable in population, but not as productive as Americans.

According to UK sources, the UK Population as of mid 2023 is 68,300,000 people. Nominal GDP in 2024 for the UK was $3,590,000,000,000 USD. GDP per capita is calculated by dividing the GDP of a nation by its population. So for the UK that works out to $52,562.23 USD per capita GDP

In contrast California nominal GDP in 2024 was $4,080,178,000,000 USD and the population was 38,965,193 in mid 2023 based on census estimates. That works out to $104,713.40 USD per capita GDP. So like I said, while the UK is a populous western nation (i. e. first world country), it is still a low performance California when comparing it to the USA. They are not as productive as Americans by any standard, either per person or as a nation. If you have better sources, then do your own calculation. It's basic math, just remember to do your currency conversions.

I don't know where you’re getting your data from but the GDP for UK sits at $50k ish while it’s $82k for the US. If we’re talking median income then it’s only £34.5k for the UK and $80k in the US. These are data from 2023-2024.

If you notice, the US is also home to a lot of the richest people in the world (Jess Bezos, Larry Ellison, Mark Zuckerberg, etc) - these are all multi billionaires we’re talking about.
