Why do people think neck and hand tattoos are common even though they aren't?

How many people do you know personally have hand or neck tattoos?

I think my last 4 managers all had neck tattoos, admittedly it wasn’t front-facing neck-to-collar designs each time like in the photo presented, but there were plenty of tattoos on necks that I’ve seen in my daily life. My current manager has a tattoo of a butterfly on her neck, meant to represent her daughter, just under her ear and jawline

Hand tattoos are pretty common. But full neck tattoos are definitely not

I know some body with a dragonfly on her neck. She got it because her boyfriend had one. Then he dumped her.
