There are stupid people on this app too and people who constantly insult me I don't know what their problem is but I'm trying to be respectful don't make me angry otherwise I can't keep my mouth shut

The problem with this ridiculous "survey" is that some college kid did their survey by stepping outside their dorm room, going down to the quad, and asking 200 students from their school, and then extrapolated this percentage across the entire population - not recognizing that the vast majority of the people around them are people from wealthy, privileged, urban or suburban backgrounds who have never seen a cow in person, and don't realize that outside their bubble, there are tons of Americans - many of them the "dumb ones" who don't go to college - who actually take care of animals, who know where food actually comes from, and have common sense. They might not read Dickens or Tolstoy, but they know how chocolate milk is made.

We've got people with college degrees who literally think that "food comes from the grocery store" and they have NO IDEA where it actually comes from or how it gets from where it comes from TO the grocery store. They think meat is grown in plastic-wrapped packages that spring up in the meat section, and that chocolate milk comes from brown cows, and I'm sure some believe that you get Dr. Pepper from Dr. Pepper trees. That's because modern schools - with rare exceptions - don't TEACH anything anymore, except how to memorize things and regurgitate them on test day, after which you can just forget what you memorized. They definitely don't want anyone THINKING about anything.

Ask a mechanic, or a construction worker, or a truck driver where chocolate milk comes from, and you're likely to get a much better answer than from the average college graduate, and that's really, really sad.

As Purplepoppy said, in any country half the population will be below average intelligence, a lot will be way below it. So right there, we are talking about 165 million Americans. But it's worse, because even people with high IQs and advanced college degrees are undereducated/miseducated. They are taught what to think, not HOW to think. Government, media and institutions only provide their desired narratives and ignore, block, censor and discredit information that conflicts with what they want people to believe.

I know very educated people who consume the same propaganda as idiots. They can't employ critical thinking because they avoid information that conflicts with what they have been taught. In other words, they have been programmed to be numb skulled ideologues.

There are very few open-minded, free thinkers who read books and do research.

I would say there are only 7 Idiots ( not million ) within the entire country , I find all my friends to be very smart , motivated and hard working. American people are awesome.

too many to count, problem is that even smart people do and say dumm things from time to time. Then there's those who indulge in drugs and alcohol intake and remove all intelligence until they sober up. There are some who are truly stupid and think otherwise but I try to ignore them if possible but they are easy to recognized and mostly avoidable. The old adage is still true " those who think they're intelligent are irritating to those who truly are"
