Envy is a dangerous game. What people deserve to get paid, and what they get often seemingly not in alignment. It and works both ways. There are lots of smart/talented people with skills being underpaid.

So yes, I think they got what they deserved.

Yes, they filled a stadium and the networks and created economic acitivty. They are smart business people and modern day gladiators.

What they don't deserve is the 50% tax on all that, but that could be argued...
