The corollary of this question is:
What data, both subjective and objective, SHOULD inform decisions whether to fire or put on probation those teachers who don't meet targets or are judged poorly by administrators / Board of Ed?
Please don't turn this into a teacher union thing, wokeness, book bannings, trans bathrooms or any other cultural war bullshit.
The question is intended to elicit what criteria should administrators and/or locally elected school boards use to judge?
Two to five observations by separate administrators in the course of a school year. For some of those evaluations, the teacher is given no notice and for the others they are given a vague "window" (days or weeks) when the administrator / evaluator might show up.
Student performance on state tests or local examinations administered to all students.
