No, I don't agree. I actually once tried to commit suicide when I was 16, and I can tell you that facing death like that is scary as hell (and I'm glad I failed and am still here).

59k is more likely. I regularly deal with homeless men who step out in front of cars at highway speeds to end it. These aren't "accidents", these are suicides, but they are recorded at accidents.

There is between 40,000-50,000 deaths per year (not per month) by suicide in the USA.
