The funny thing is - why do they bother?
IRS or no IRS, they won't pay taxes - effectively, they don't now.
I suppose without the IRS they will save a lot in accounting and legal fees, so there is that reason.
Can you think of other reasons?

The problem with the IRS is the same as with the FBI, the target of its abuse being an indiviual it is effectively obscurely unaccountable in the federal goverment.
A goverment who's electorate is a 1000 miles away from ever hearing about much less caring about any victim. A goverment that has no courts not hand picked by the same people who carried out the abuse, and from which there is no where an abused group or indiviual may go to escape the abusing state.
The IRS needs to be scraped and the 16th amendment repealed because like other progressive ideas of the early 20th century, it completely ignores the nature and limitations of the federal goverment as a very distant institution.
Probably because this was a time of the first media cartels who simply choose to avoid pointing this fact out in favor of the vast power they and their owners would then have in selective reporting over said institutions.
If you want justice, accountability, and good goverment the federal domestic organizations that target individuals like the IRS and FBI must be tottaly abolish. They simply can't be governed by we the people at such a distance given the tools we have available.
Its not location but sheer size and diversity of the only force (elections) that might have a real interest in compelling said abusers to stop. @msc545
Indeed our federal goverment is soo large not even those few elected have a realistic chance of knowing much less caring about the individuals who are abused by their soo obscurely distant and numerous agents.
The electorate itself has almost no chance of both knowing and caring about soo many soo far away. Certantly not more than they would consistently care about the common issues that actually effect them in every election.
This is why law enforcement is overwhelmingly a local thing, when they invariably scew up or do things badly individuals not the whole population pay the price. there we either don't know anything about it as is the case 99% of the time or know only part of the story, as happens during regular nationalist riots over that which nobody but local democrats control.
In which certant ideological segments who have been sold the idea of to federal responsibility for local issues have staged.
That said location does matter, not every location is suitable to the same kind of taxation polices. The Whisky rebellion in the 1790's provides an example of this. Trying to collect taxes in the backwoods where there is no currency or clear accounting of income is just setting your agents and their victims up for an abusive situation.
Hamltion a city boy by comparsion learned the hard way its best not to even go out there.
They think taxation is theft.
They think they're eligible for the "death tax"
They think that their real estate will be sold off to satisfy taxes due
They think that they're producers (when they are actually takers) and unfairly taxes
They're dumb as a bag of hammers and useful as tits on a bull
They don't like being told what to do. They like people to do what they say. It's how they get wealthy in the first place.
Rachel Maddow said Trump doesn't pay taxes. He paid 30 million that year.
Did he pay taxes if he paid 30 million?
Yes, he occasionally paid taxes. I expect he even paid sales tax on some things as well.
You do understand that we're referring to the amount of tax compared to his supposed wealth, income, and spending, right?
Assuming you pay taxes and are only a millionaire, has your tax bill ever been 75c?
i don't believe that anyone wants to ban the IRS.

IRS has been weaponized to go after people that can’t afford legal fees and are easily bullied. They don’t go after billionaires. Billionaires aren’t stupid with money and know tax laws better than the IRS
Because it's a corrupt entity same as the federal reserve
who the hell even wants to pay taxes?
Me!! 🖐🏻 It's the price of civilization.
@DrPepper12 good. I hope you don't complain about going broke when you pay too much taxes
It all depends on value, not amount
@DrPepper12 Your taxes are used to pay for weapons.
And I oppose that but I'm not Thoreau and this isn't Walden so I harass my reps as one should in a pluralistic republic.
taxes are also being used to pay illegals, Ukraine, Israel, abortions and trans surgeries on minors
I'm well aware of policies I fund that are revolting, violent and unethical. I agitate against it. This isn't hard.
The highest income earners in the US pay a vast majority of our income taxes, so obviously they want to get rid of the entity that's taking their money. The right just doesn't like taxes, in general.
Do you REALLY have to ask?
they don't do a single thing
