There are two rancherias in my town, and I've never seen a Native American there working any other job besides security guard. Some of them in the mid-west got lucky because they struck oil. And a lot in the southwest work as tour guides. They charge crazy rates, some just to walk around their village, so they make a shit ton of money without exhausting themselves. One of my teachers in college ordered a videotape from a Native American tribe, and they charged her $200.
Most of them live in very basic houses, and a lot of the reservations actually have a huge drug and crime problem.
