Ambivalence (most whites likely loathe or at least soundly disagree with his Black Nationalism), and I didn't like his early anti-white, anti-Semitic views which he changed after his Mecca pilgrimage, where he saw coal-black and snow-white Muslims sharing prayer rugs, food, etc. which almost never happened in the America of Malcolm's day. He was slain Feb.23,1965 (I was 11), by Nation Of Islam (NOI) founder Elijah Muhammad for renouncing racism and exposing Muhammad as a child-molesting, swindling fraud.(Two men convicted of Malcolm's murder had their conviction vacated in recent years). Malcolm, however, was assassinated in a Harlem mosque by some of Muhammad's 25-inch bicpped,65-IQ, ex-con thug/bodyguards.(Valentine's Day,1965, Muhammad Ali, who'd mulled leaving the NOI, had a fire set in his apartment;Malcolm told Ali it was a warning by Elijah Muhammad to remain with NOI). Malcolm, incidentally, was slain two days after the death of comedian Stan Laurel, the slim English lad (his partner, Oliver Hardy, who died Aug.7,1957, was the obese American) in the Laurel and Hardy comedy duo, and nine days after the passing of jazz singing great Nat "King" Cole.

He was influential in his own rights and is someone i studied. But one thing i noticed is that his views were always overlooked because of his stance and upbringing. He was mostly overlooked because he shared the same time line as MLK and he would be left in the shadows

Nothing. He's not even really known or talked about outside of the black community. Others might have heard his name or know him only from the Denzel Washington film, but have no interest in learning more about him.
