Trending & News Everyone has a right to a fair trial. A part of that NEEDS is a zealot advocate attorney on your side. No if and or buts. So the job in of itself is ethical.
The lawyer could do unethical things but the job in of itself is ethical. We can't fold to the overwhelming power of the state has over any individual person no matter how rich they are. (At the same time the state has been folding over power of industrials but that's a different topic.)
Even For the worst imaginary criminal to truly be put to justice they need an zealot attorney. They are putting the screws to the prosecution and police do everything correctly. If the state fucks up the whole system fall apart.
Being a defense/prosecutor attorney isn’t unethical, the attorneys are not necessarily lying. They just ask you to have reasonable proof, or beyond a reasonable doubt, or concrete evidences to prove your points according to the law.
We human are inherently animalistic and bestial, at the same time weak, sloppy, manipulative, strong, resilient, loving etc. The law is the only system that keeps life in humans communities/ecosystem in sustaining working order.
Base on that law, certain points need to be conclusive in order to describe or classify that as a crime/violation. Although their attorneys know their clients is not necessarily innocent, and they might not even sided with their clients, they gotta act accordingly to their role. As attorney being able to assume that position accordingly is what make them ethical whether their client is guilty or not.
Well, everyone is entitled to representation. That's not unethical.
R Kelly should have been jail years before he was. His lawyer was a genius who saved him. Could you comfortably save a man like that?
Me, personally no. But he eventually was put away. But that is the job of the defense attorney, to save their client. They have to put doubt that the crime wasn't committed by the defendant and the state has to prove the defendant did it.
Defense is for anybody. Innocent and guilty.
If it was legal and I got paid. Who is R. Kelly?

Being a defense lawyer isn’t unethical, you’re just making sure everything was done properly at the end of the day. We need them to make sure police are following proper procedures/not planting evidence or using phony charges.
Defending Diddy & Kelly zealously IS the definition of ethical!! Everyone should have that!!
I would be more suited to be a prosecutor.
