Are narcissistic tendencies among women increasing due to social media and cultural shifts? What signs or factors might be driving this trend?

I feel as though, current society coupled with the validation that social media provides most women, which ironically also leads to lower self esteem in women, has led to an increasing amount of women that exhibit narcissistic qualities such as vanity, a lack of empathy as seen in the lack of compassion many modern women have for men, superiority complex which is ultimately a sense of entitlement, and last but certainly not least, the avoidance of accountability which is perhaps the most noticeable and prevalent. I'm not sure how we got here, or if these observations are exclusive to women, but it is an observation that I'm curious to know of others have noticed as well. Please feel free to add in your two cents.

It's not that women are becoming more narcissistic, I think it's just that men have never been asked to share power, money, status, resources, etc. and and the destruction of traditional gender roles would make it appear that way. I really just think it's the men not having any experience with sharing.

Social media isn’t some grand conspiracy to make men feel bad. It’s just a platform where women shine naturally, just like they always have offline. It’s just that now, everyone can see it. You might be struggling seeing women appreciated without feeling left out. Otherwise why are you so bothered?
