The statement isn't insane, from what I've been hearing, RFK Jr, has a lot of support among Republicans and some support among Democrat senators. Bernie Sanders and Cory Booker are likely to vote to confirm RFK Jr for HHS, and John Fetterman and John Kennedy are open to the idea of voting to confirm RFK Jr. The list democrat support will like increase after RFK Jr meets with Democrats. RFK Jr has a long history of successfully suing corrupt corporations and government agencies, so I have no doubt he'll be successful in forcing food and pharma companies to make their products safer, if other countries can do it so can we.

Putting aside RFK Jr's incompetence/intelligence, I am speaking on the basis of how the world works here. For example, you need a strong regulatory body to improve quality. Doing things such as suing them is a waste of time since corporations will just fight it in court and take the settlement as just the cost of doing business. If they have to pay millions in lawsuits to earn billions in sales then that is simply a good deal.

Likewise vaccines are about as safe as you can realistically make them. They are held to the highest level of standard that we have ever had in anything.

There is nothing you can improve and the way that Trumps administration is attempting to go about it has never worked.

Actually, vaccines aren't as safe as you can make them, they still contain questionable ingredients, and vaccine manufactures often changes the formula of vaccines to both make them cheaper and be granted another patent. Chances are vaccine being processed today isn't exactly the same formulation as they were 30, 40 years ago, it has to do with making them cheaper and being eligible for another patent. If vaccines are as safe as they can be, then Reagan would have never granted vaccine manufactures immunity to liability. Suing does actually work, RFK Jr sued and got the Hudson River cleaned, and all these lawsuits he's won, he knows the ins and outs of how these corrupt corporations and government agencies work making which is important in forcing them to make their products safe.

No, vaccines do not contain questionable ingredients. Especially something like the RNA vaccine AKA what they used to make the covid19 vaccine. And no, obviously we dont make the vaccines the same way as we did 30-40 years ago. Back then we could not make them directly and had to use things like animal bodies to synthesize them for us. That is obviously not a good way to go about it even if it produced fairly good results.

And yes, Reagan is an evil bastard that rigged the system in corporations favor. That does not mean that the standards required to certify a vaccine no longer applied, not to mention that other countries did not have a Reagan and can in fact sue corporations for selling dangerous vaccines in their countries. And yet, the same vaccines in USA are not denied in other countries either. Almost like they are safe in USA too.

And no, it was not RFK Jr that cleaned up the Hudson River. It was a series of government programs starting back in 1972 with the Clean Waters Act and running up until today. RFK Jr only got involved at 1984 at the earliest which was already a long way into the cleanup effort and now he is taking all the credit for the work that other people have done.

A lot of Democrats are fear mongering that RFK Jr is going to take everyone's vaccines away while ignoring that our food is filled with additives that are banned in other countries. RFK Jr, isn't taking anyone's vaccines, though he is going to ensure they are safe which starts with big pharma losing liability immunity meaning they will have to put safety over profits instead of what they do now which is put profits over safety. What weird times we live in where a Republican president is doing what Democrats should have done long ago, and I say this a former democrat.

@NaultD Healthy food and ensuring vaccine manufacturers put safety over profits has nothing to do with wokeism. I'm old enough to remember when Democrats advocated for things without all the wokeness added. Wokeness is a losing strategy for winning over moderates/Independents.

Other countries have also banned food additives that are allowed in the US. So maybe thats not the best way of measuring food safety.

And regarding the vaccines... since covid and the antivaxxers big outcry on social media its quite hard for pharma. Instead one should be more transparent and help gaining trust im vaccines again. Otherwise the next pandemic will be even worse and we do see a big comeback of supposedly extinct deseases.

Not everyone who's against the COVID vaccine are anti-vax, they are specifically against the covid vaccine because it was rushed and used new technology. I know many people including myself who were against the Pfizer and Moderna vaccine but got the Novavax vaccine because it's a more traditional vaccine. Part of my reason for not wanting the Pfizer or Moderna vaccine, was family and friends suffer side effects. If you look at the COVID timeline, both the left and the right were against the COVID vaccine at one point, when Trump was still in office, people on the left refused to take the COVID vaccine and trashed it as the "Trump vaccine", then did a complete 180 once Biden took office. Vaccine manufactures losing their immunity to liability is a step in the right direction, and so ensuring vaccines are safe (which the safety concern isn't with the vaccines in general, but with how they are produced and what is added to them, IPOL for example, is manufactured using monkey kidneys that genetically modified to continuously multiple like cancer cells, IPOL wasn't/isn't even needed when there are 5 other vaccines available that have been proven just as effective with less side effects).
