Gender pronouns? Why does their need to be so many different labels for a male or a female?

This is what happens when you are trying to simplify something in a way that is incorrect.

Lets make an example. Lets say I tell you that I like pancakes. This by itself is a very simple statement to a very complicated reality which would be my actual taste in food. On the surface this is perfectly reasonable, but if we overly simplify it then we start running into problems. For example, while I like pancakes I might also like tacos or perhaps I do not like all pancakes and hate the chocolate flavored ones.

I can keep adding things I like and dislike as exceptions to the statement that "I like pancakes" pretty much forever because that statement by itself does not represent what my actual taste in food is like. That is kind of what is happening with gender pronouns. The simplification of male and female is accurate so we have had to keep adding more and more exceptions to it simply to make sure it is still a useful concept to have around.

There doesn't need to be, and there isn't. Fiction is not fact. Lunacy is not sanity. If anything, the term gender has been rendered meaningless because when a term refers to anything and everything, it actually refers to nothing at all.

There are only two sexes, and two corresponding genders, as will be rightly reflected in the US's official policy beginning 1/20/2025.

The return to sanity is upon us.

The question was not meant to create an issue. People of my generation had few pronouns, if we said one that insulted you, it was probably meant to do so. Today, I for example am hesitant to talk to some younger people as I may insult them by asking a simple question ie Do you know where the men's room is located? Men's room or Ladies room is pretty plain to understand, it does not take in what "you" may want to be referred as but you have to use one of these rooms. All I was asking is why does/ did it change and become an issue. I am all for people feeling alive but as a species we are male or female, there is no other sex that I am aware of at this point in my life. I have met males and females only. There are other sexualities but no other sexes. Tribal recognition may not be a good example, no Native American has asked to be referred to as a Non American or other. To anyone I may have offended with this question, I apologize, it was not meant to question how you feel or see yourself.

If this was directed towards me, let me answer this way. I personally do not care but was merrily asking a question. Is that not what this is for? If I ask, I get many answers, who knows one of these answers may change my way of thinking. It was not asked to get anyone riled up, just to get answers/opinions. Why do you care about what I asked?
