What has happened to Germany is more of a insane overreaction to the "NAZI" as if the ruling class of Germany decided everything the NAZI's did or thought was wrong and they should to the opposite of to equal or greater extremes.
Which frankly made them almost as bad. The point of the NAZI's was in fact that extremism and being closed to other ideas and open debate leading to such extremism.

There is nothing wrong with there being a place on earth for Germans there should be a place on earth for every culture and ethic group. It would be a very sad thing indeed for the human race lose all of that out of some extremist utopian view that all humans are and should be the same.

An idea that destroys in practice the very diversity it claims to support. Which is every bit as bad as what the NAZI's were trying to do to allegedly defend the same.
