I’m all for freedom of speech, freedom of photography etc. but these people go to places to provoke a reaction and post it on YouTube. What does that do? I’d rather be working than waste time doing this crap

Because they are only frauditors, often with a persecution complex. Their little clickbait videos give them clicks and a platform to elicit donations from gullible viewers.

Most of the ones I know do it for the ad revenue, do it to get donations to their pay-pal account, or to sell their swag online. One of the auditors I've defended before has a whole online catalog of T-shirts, bobbleheads, stickers, mousepads, etc that he sells.
Right now he has 22 different hoodies. T-shirts, wife beaters, and tops on his online store.

His business model is actually pretty ingenious. He's literally created a market from thin air to sell his products. If he wasn't a troll, no one would give a damn about buying a T-shirt with his slogan or his face on it. But because he's a troll, he has 197,000 YouTube subscribers and 50,000 Rumble subscribers who buy his swag.
