Just like to defeat the Nazis, many civilians died. To defeat the Japanese emperor, many civilians died. Now imagine how hard it would be if the Nazis or the Japanese emperor was actively using civilians as shields within very confined areas.

The fact that Israel is actually breaking records of how few civilian casualties they have is incredible. They could have just given an evacuation order to the innocent civilians and flattened the area with their air superiority.. but they didn't. All they would need to do to commit a genocide is use their air superiority and bombardments from the sea as well.. but they don't.
