Why do people fixate and worry about what others are doing?

However someone decides to express themselves through fashion and clothes isn't the next person business. It's not effecting their lives so why care so much? People don't have family and friends to focus on? Their health to focus on? Their mental health? Their goals? Or just focus on your damn self. You must be a complete weirdo with extremely low esteem to worry about what the next person is doing, sorry not sorry.

They are just quick to judge generally because of their own mental state. Usually it stems from feelings of inadequacy so they judge and criticize others so they can feel better about themselves. It’s basically projection.


When faced with people like that just employ some stoicism or even stretch that to a little pity for them as that will help with your frustration and stress over the “why” and the general unfairness and inequality of the situations.


The last thing you want to do is confront it or attempt to correct their behavior or attitude unless of course they are part of your life. In which case you might want to help them dig deeper to find the need for their own behavior or attitude.
