The plan was to let Biden flop at the debate (even though we know he's been fully incompetent since before the 2020 election), then put Kamala in temporarily, the move everyone over to someone like Newsom or Josh Shapiro, letting the public think it was 100% their choice), then have that person win.

The problem was, Biden quickly endorsed Kamala and moved all his money over to her, the only person who would have been allowed to have all his money. That ruined the Obama machine's plan and made the entirely unprepared and unqualified Kamala the candidate.

Whitney Cummings captured it perfectly in that New Year's Eve bit. The New Yorker is now saying, "we have no idea why she was talking about all these conspiracy theories," when everyone knows they are not conspiracy theories but rather the truth. They've been caught and we're not going to listen to a word from them anymore.

Sure, but the physically failing Biden had to be replaced, and Veep Harris was the (seemingly) logical choice, though the Democratic National Convention should have been where this decision should have been made.
