Did Donald Trump have any political experience before becoming the US President?

So as we all know, before Trump was the 45th (and now the 47th) president of the United States he was known for being the host of the American reality show the apprentice. Where he was best known for his catchphrase “You’re fired” which has since come back to bite him in the ass. Now that it’s been nearly a decade since his last appearance on the show I feel it’s necessary to ask if he had any prior political experience before he ran for running for the presidency

He dealt with investors.
He dealt with banks.
He dealt with Unions.
He dealt with the Mafia.
He dealt with billionaires.

He dealt with three wives and legions of girlfriends.
That's political experience.

But he was never the mayor of Indianapolis.

He got jealous of Gwen Stefani getting paid compared to apprentice. From there he did his announcement going down the escalator and was supposed to lose early primary and create buzz for a competitive conservative cable news channel like fox news but he won.

A little. He started his own political party, and was vocal in politics for much of his life, and was involved with politicians. Someone with his status and job, it's impossible to not involve yourself in politics. But he never actually ran for public office.

No, he just ran a multi billion dollar real estate empire. He knows a lot about s lot of things , is a great negotiator and knows what a gallon of gas costs. I think that is much better than being a government hack for 50 years.
