Why are Americans so arrogant?

So I live in America I was born here and despite many of its flaws it is an amazing country to be in.

The people tho leave a lot to be desired, something I never understood is the contradiction in morality. I saw a blog post about African football player Pepe he recently or more accurately had been dating Teanna Trump the pornstar.

With all the preaching of equality and equal treatment bullshit people spew constantly this day in age it seems like sex works have no place in the conversation especially in the dating aspect.

Whenever I’ve brought up the topic I’ve literally had people tell me that sex workers don’t deserve love or to be treated with love because they sell there bodies is that not insane? Sex workers in other countries are treated better even on the basic level of the laws they have to protect them.

In such a preachy ass country especially when it comes to religion you’d think we could treat others with some sense of respect despite the work they do as if selling sex even if out of financial struggle makes them less of a human being it makes me sick.

I’ve seen similar treatment towards workers that do less than desirable jobs like a garbage man or plumber even though those jobs pay well it’s the jobs that people don’t really like but even they will have people that will come to there defense when people try to mock them.

I think the high and mighty act needs to go but then there will always be one to many idiots with a stupid opinion nowadays more than ever.

Americans are constantly conditioned starting at kindergarden, that

• "they live in the best country on the planet" (which is not true)
• "that the US is always #1" (which it isn't)
• "That the US has the most freedom" (which is not true)
• "Only the US is a free country" (which is not true)
• "The US has the freest press on the planet" (which is not true)
• "The the US gives you the most opportunities" (Which is not true)
• "That your chances of becoming successful in the US are better, than anywhere else" (which is not true)
• "That everyone wants to live in the US" (which is not true)
• "The US is the most successful country in absolutely everything" (which is not true)
• "That the US healthcare system is the best on the world" (which is not true)
• "Other countries are police states and the government is spying on their citizens. The US would never do that, because it's the only free country on the planet!!!" (Hahaha... hahahahahahaha)
• "The US is the only country with free and fair elections" (definitely not true. Electoral college: Where you can have less votes than your opponent and till win. If that is not fair?)
• "You don't need to question the US, Because the US is always perfect! If you do, you are a traitor and no patriot" (Not true)
• "Everything (insert basic human necessity here) that makes ordinary peoples lives better is communism !"(Not true)
• "The US is the only country that protects it's childrens ! (How many school shootings do you have again?)
• "Every country wants to be like the US' (hahahaha... also definitely not true)

And children are manipulated into believing this from the moment they are born, to avoid them asking any unwanted questions against their own politicians, especially against the Republicans. (Gerrymandering, closing voting stations, etc, etc)

This is why sentences like this will follow Americans their whole life, from kindergarten all the way into adulthood.

The US is the best in everything, don't question it ! Or are you no real American patriot, you traitor?

The US is basically trying to convince every American that they should absolutely not look into how things work in other countries, because the US is already the perfect country. Otherwise Americans might demand a better treatment and demand that money should be used for them, instead of making everyone in Congress a rich person...

That is also why many sports events in the US are called "World championship" even though only US teams take part and the Name "US Championship" would be the accurate one. All to give people the impression that they don't need to look anywhere else and should no start questioning US politics.

You could shorting it to a quote I saw on YouTube. The only differences between the US and Russia?

• The US military is not as corrupt as in Russia and is therefore working as intended, because the generals are not stealing the money for ammunition to buy a themselves Mansions
• The US is richer because it's using its resources instead of letting most of them stay in the ground (like in Siberia)
• The US has a two party oligarchy instead of a one party oligarchy
• Russia has better public transport

Yeah, unfortunately this country predominantly has a holier than thou attitude about a lot of things, and as for religion, there is no hate like Christian love. It seems like every year that goes by, really starting with the boomer generation that we've become greedy and more invested in our self interests than the well being of our fellow man.

I agree there’s nothing wrong with being proud and having standards especially moral standards but I feel like some people here have exactly what you said this holier than tho I’m so perfect attitude whenever someone doesn’t align with there views of what’s right wrong and socially acceptable and it’s worse now more than ever.
