Do you think the world is a cruel place?

I don’t dislike kids. In fact I think a lot of them can be quite cute.
I just don’t want to have children because I think the world is a cruel place and I shouldn’t bring another person into this cruel world.

I have lived quite a miserable life and I would hate to see my future children possibly go through similar or maybe even worse things as me. I have never physically attempted suicide before but sometimes I have been so upset I have said to myself in my own head things like “I wish I was never born.”

There are probably billions of other people in the world who have lived miserable lives as well but I just wasn’t there to see it all.

I'm thinking you are one of the good ones, sensitive and caring. And this world has a bunch of people whom are not like you, will abuse you and frankly, enjoy it. They like whom they are... they are sick.

I'd ask that you not let the others ruin your life, but you find a way to better influence the lives of others in a positive way. That, will feed you.

It is a cruel place... and you are not going to save it. but you can save others spiritually so they have a better experience and place to go when they leave.

That's how I live or aim to. When I realized others are not like me, and some are awful, it was very freeing. Finding the truth, will set you free and you can build a base from there.

Mine is spiritual, based on Christ. Maybe you can do it another way, that's up to you.

I don’t think the world is cruel, but I do believe that suffering is an inevitable part of existence. The amount of suffering one experiences varies based on your personal background and social class, but you can’t be happy without being sad too. Two sides of the same coin. Your decision not to have children is valid, but if you want a child and you believe suffering makes them unworthy of existence that’s a separate issue

People historically was killed by fire for figuring out the world was round and was curling the sun.

Today is probably the most peaceful day to ever happen in human history that can only be surpassed by tomorrow.

We as a total of humanity has put a lot of effort to achieving this daily goal of such importance. A Little retrospective can help but pushing forward with a smile is worth it's weight in gold.

yes the world is a cruel place because we make it cruel and don't hold ourselves or each other accountable instead of justifying bad behavior

even despite this cruelty, the first step should start with ourselves and be the change we want the world to be
