Cops and donuts. What started the stereotype?

It’s because they actually eat them. I don’t eat doughnuts and I’ve been in a doughnut shop one time in my entire life. I was there to do a job (not working in the shop, it was special project stuff).
I shit you not, while I was there the police walked in and the staff actually asked them “will it be the usual today”.
It is not a stereotype. I knew a lot of cops and none of them ever turned down a donut
it is a stereotype. Don’t argue with me.
@Kingofkings1992 You don;t seem like a cop.
Maybe because they're a convenient breakfast food that's easy to hold. Like it would be weird if cops had to eat cereal, eggs, toast on the go since those breakfast foods can be messy to eat in the car
I bet it has to do with mom and pop places that cops ate it and the places gave them free stuff. Doughnuts and coffee don't cost much and they satisfy.

They used to be be the only shops open all night, which was handy on a nightshift.
So you're the one who asks all those cop questions?
Nope lol wrong age bracket
Yes, I am a police officer and I especially enjoy eating donuts while on patrol.
