Whoever knowingly or willfully advocates, abets, advises, or teaches the duty, necessity, desirability, or propriety of overthrowing or destroying the government of the United States or the government of any State, Territory, District or Possession thereof, or the government of any political subdivision therein, by force or violence, or by the assassination of any officer of any such government; or

Whoever, with intent to cause the overthrow or destruction of any such government, prints, publishes, edits, issues, circulates, sells, distributes, or publicly displays any written or printed matter advocating, advising, or teaching the duty, necessity, desirability, or propriety of overthrowing or destroying any government in the United States by force or violence, or attempts to do so; or

If you want a world in which freedom of the press is unlimited then we would be living in a MUCH different world than we do today.

The entire strategy of shitty tabloids and many online media is to make people upset. Things like celebrity gossip, scandals, drama etc.. It drives engagement towards their platforms and earns them money.

What on earth would possess them to limit their coverage to things that are accurate? It takes effort, money and time to uncover accurate information which means you have to spend resources and work while the tabloid next door is already earning money claiming that the recent murder was conducted by Elvis Presley's ghost.

Having journalistic integrity is a death sentence in a world with unlimited press freedom.

Journalism is not special. It is just people trying to make money by spreading information. The only difference between NBC and some dude on youtube is that NBC has made itself into an institution of sorts. The same motivations that would make NBC want to lie exists for anyone on the internet that wants to be a "source" of information.

Yes. I firmly believe that information can be used as a weapon. That means that news organizations is just an extension of warfare but within the information sphere rather than on the physical battlefield. Furthermore I believe that news organizations are a fundamental part of a democracy which means they need to be held to a certain standard to fulfill their purpose.

Having national news being owned by a foreign government as such becomes a national security concern.

Free market capitalism is the opposite of all publicly owned organizations such as firefighters and publicly owned resources like water. Capitalism is about private ownership and competition, not government funding of services or ownership of goods.

Its up to you if you want to call USA a capitalist free market economy given that these things are pretty fundamental to how the country works.
