"No, Freedom of Speech is a Basic Human Right no matter who gets offended"
None fully apply to me, though I am heavily leaning towards this option.
First I want to dispel a 'Myth': Freedom of Speech is not banned in the UK nor anywhere else in Europe. However, compared to the US we do have regulations, laws, which place some limitation on the Right to Exercise Freedom of Speech.
Freedom of Speech does not include bigotry, nor spreading fear and hatred. Someone who is opposed to immigrants and immigration can talk about his/ her views without any fear of prosecution... same goes for people who oppose LGBT (+ whatever else has been stuck behind)... as long as it is being done in a decent manner.
A 'Tommy 10-Names', who is a racist bigoted Agitator, is being sought be the Police; a Nigel Farage a racist bigoted Politician has been very active for years virtually unobstructed.
However... as is the case with some many Laws and general actions the government takes... The laws that limited Freedom of Speech are being abused to silence anyone who holds views directly opposed to the government's views.
No, the Far-Right is not pulling at the shortest end of it; The government imposes harsher punishment and censorship of the 'Left' than the 'Right'.
So there is no freedom of speech in Britain despite how you tried to word it.
"Freedom of speech is a principle that supports the freedom of an individual or a community to articulate their opinions and ideas without fear of retaliation, censorship, or legal sanction. The right to freedom of expression has been recognised as a human right in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and international human rights law by the United Nations. Many countries have constitutional law that protects free speech. Terms like free speech, freedom of speech, and freedom of expression are used interchangeably in political discourse. However, in a legal sense, the freedom of expression includes any activity of seeking, receiving, and imparting information or ideas, regardless of the medium used."
At this point "rights" just means full on anarchy which is the opposite of of constitution and rule of law that is supposed to protect rights.
It's honestly a full on paradox.
The only end to this paradox is consequences. But you are not sent to the gulag but told to eat shit and die and everyone ignores you. More or less a slap on the wrist compared to the gulag of china or Russia.

Even in the usa using a gun in clear as day self defense takes millions of dollars for a lawyer to exercise rights. Just got done with jury duty with me being the hardcore liberal in a red state.
The words "rights" for anything is just piss in the wind. Always has been is my guess. I hate guns and if we can't use a gun in this case what's the fucking point?

I just love how cute Elon Musk is for typing “true” on the meme he made and posted. He reposted that with ‘true’. So cute.
Here I’ll do the same:
True.
“If you scrub your feet with soap,
That makes you a foot fetishist”
See? Anyone can do it, doesn’t mean its true.
We should imprison anyone that says anything that I don't like. But not the things that you don't like. That would be tyranny. I'm the ultimate arbiter of right and wrong.
Freedom of speech and expression is a basic human right.
What idiot mod removed your question?
I think whats happening in the UK is a disgrace
No. That's a good way to find yourself as the countryside swings before your tyrannical eyes.
They were dumb enough to give up their guns. (Oh, and I just remembered the story/joke I wrote. About catching ducks with duct tape. lol)
See, you called it a story. That's an old joke, so that's why I was confused. lol
Ask a question asking for jokes, and I'll give you a doozy. Post the link here.
As an Anglo, I would also ban free speech. If I came to power there would be NO MORE COMMUNISM!
Nope
