Trump is considering changing the name of New Mexico to West Texas. He points out his intent of renaming the Gulf of Mexico to the Gulf of America he points out other paired states, Dakotas, Virginia's and Carolinas. Geographic boundaries would not change. Just the name

Do we need to change New Hampshire, New York, New Jersey etc etc? Or does he only hate Mexicans? Will renaming the Gulf of Mexico stop inflation, lower prices, fix the national debt or do anything else slighty helpful to anyone?

I don't know about the other stuff
"West Texas" makes no sense though. It's already a region in Texas. And New Mexico has more in common with Mexico than it does with Texas.
I'll be honest, at this point it's difficult to tell if the guy is being serious or just trolling.
But on the other hand, Democrats changed names of places named after White people to Native American names, so...
