The most disturbing part of the politicization is that the way people respond to different things has nothing to do with the action itself; it's all about who is doing it.

The people calling for peace want to support US territorial expansion.

That's what I'm confused about as well. The way it was explained by the media, it also sounds to me like Diplomatic Immunity.

Maybe it means you've done something you know you can get in trouble for, but haven't been caught yet, and this basically protects you. I don't think it applies to any crimes you may commit in the future.

No. The preemptive pardon only extends to actions that happen in a certain time or context, and it's kind of a massive load of BS anyway. Basically, the way it works is that a President can anticipate criminal charges before someone has actually been charged, and say that the person has been excused of any wrong doing they might have committed from one date to another.

Totally. They were political prisoners. Even if some of them assaulted an officer, I agree with Trump, that they've served enough time. They should go to jail, but not for 20 years! He was right when he said there are people who got less time for far worse crimes.
