I took history classes all throughout school and never learned what exactly pissed off Jefferson and others. although I learned Washington was a land speculator in his youth, that's all I learned. in 1763 the king of England made a royal law that no more colonists should sell survey and sell land... that belonged to their new native American allies. in other words, Jefferson was mad that the king was protecting the natives and called him a "tyrant".
