What God given freedoms was the king of England powerful enough take from American colonists?

I took history classes all throughout school and never learned what exactly pissed off Jefferson and others. although I learned Washington was a land speculator in his youth, that's all I learned. in 1763 the king of England made a royal law that no more colonists should sell survey and sell land... that belonged to their new native American allies. in other words, Jefferson was mad that the king was protecting the natives and called him a "tyrant".

It was taxes. The guy was taxing the hell out of any imports and people were mad because it was basically the equivalent of buying a car just to buy tea.

ok that's an interpretation. from my viewpoint the taxes were imposed to recoup money lost defending the colonies from the french. it's also notable there was a rebellion shortly after the revolution over taxes that George Washington immediately squashed. so the overall point of the war was for a select group of elite men within America to profit, off of the lives of naive colonists thinking they were achieving something great for themselves

No shit, the war for independence was massively opposed. They did a draft, poor servants of rich families were paid to take their place in the war. It was a shitshow

"God" never gave anyone any "freedoms" because "God" is a fantasy character. But yeah, wealthy landowners in the colonies, basically the new aristocracy in the new territories, didn't like a King 4,000 miles away controlling their ability to expand their wealth accumulation and then taxing them to benefit "The Crown" on top of it without giving them a voice in government. Greed and power struggles, it's a story as old as the human race.
