According to some sources, Vivek Ramaswamy is said to exit being a co-leader of Department of Government Efficiency, to focus on his run for governor of Ohio in 2026. Current governor Mike DeWine will be term-limited in 2026 and the last Lieutanant Governor of Ohio, Jon Husted (a potential natural successor to DeWine) was picked to Senate, as a replacement of J. D. Vance, who left Senate to become a vice president.

It is also implied that Musk may have put his finger in it, in the way to be the sole boss of DOGE and not share power with Ramaswamy.

Vivek has decided to run for Governor in Ohio instead. I do not know if there was a conflict with Elon or not. Both these guys have big egos so it is likely.
