- Not that this really matters but they didn't stole it from India. It was a well known and popular symbol in the western world before WWII. The link between the swastika and nazism is more about germanic/runic folklore, of which german white supremacists at the time were fond. What's your point exactly, here? - They didn't. Where does that even come from? Many US businesses did, including IBM, AT&T, Ford. The democratic party, then under FDR —who saw Hitler as a threat and a despot from the moment he came into power— is very, very, very unlikely to have provided any kind of assistance to Hitler, let alone finance him.

That Robert Byrd stuff is far-right fake news. He never was leader of the KKK. He was a member in his youth, which is a fact the he has acknowledged and apologized for.

On the other hand, trump's father, Fred, was once arrested at a KKK demonstration during his youth. The Trump Organization was investigated in the early 1970's for refusing to rent apartments to Black people. Trump refused to specifically condemn white supremacists in the aftermath of the 2017 Charlottesville "Unite The Right Rally".

-Neither the Democratic or the Republican party of that era exist anymore as such. Roles are now reversed. Under Nixon and its southern strategy, the republican party began to cater to racists, anti-liberal conservatives and morons. Under JFK, the democratic party became associated with the the civil rights movement and desegregation. It also became associated with social liberalism with FDR, Lyndon Johnson, Bill Clinton, etc.

- That's pretty irrelevant since his earliest American ancestor was his german grandfather, who didn't emigrate to america until 1885, 20 years after the end of the civil war. However, that grandfather became a pimp in Seattle and in Yukon, during the Klondike gold rush.

The "strenght through joy" is still bullshit even if 'you were there and heard it'. The Democratic party still didn't finance Hitler and we still couldn't care less that Henry Ford, a democrat (though he was a republican in his youth) had close ties to nazism. He was opposed to america's participation in WW2 and he was an antisemitic piece of shit. The democratic and republican parties of today still are light years away from what they were 150 year ago and the fact that trump's family has no slave-owning past still is irrelevant because of how recently his most distant ancestors emigrated to the US; as it doesn't mean that the trumps would never have had slaves, had they emigrated over here somewhere between colonial times and the civil war.

Hitler was as anti-free speech as they come because a regime like his wouldn't survive if people were allowed to freely discuss the ideology because people would come to the conclusion of:

"Hmm, maybe it's wrong to poorly treat an individual of a certain race that I have been propagandized to believe is privileged and oppressive because individuals have their own life experiences and personal beliefs and aren't always bad people. Race is not an ideology and we would all be better off if we stopped treat it as such."

Maybe this is why the left is constantly calling for censorship. Without it, the "progressive" stack would just be debunked in the same manner.

Anything MAGA/conservatives don't like, they call fake news and lies instantly. That may be what you think the left is doing, but the only side who never back their claims with solid proof, evidence, facts and just plain old reality are MAGA/conservatives.

They can't live in a world where people are free to choose what they want to be outside of so-called "normality"; a world where unrestrained capitalism, consumerism and income equality have become very real problems and a world where climate change has real, measurable negative effects.

Whatever we have going in right now is not capitalism. Capitalism is in favor of competition, the massive companies like Microsoft work so much in tandem with the government through lobbying it honestly doesn't even make sense to call them "private" anymore.

We need politicians who aren't spineless and reject this blatant abuse of power. We have laws against what the corporations are doing and they are getting away with it because they work together with the only people who can stop them.
