If the US is so bad, and so evil for enforcing its border policies, why doesn't anyone complain about countries who are FAR worse?

There are 10 countries where illegal border crossings are punishable by 10 years in prison or more.

Vatican City
North Korea

So, why dont leftists complain about that? Only in the US, at least prior to Trump thank god, could you come to the states, be given a free cell phone, free education, free health care, free food, free housing all at the tax payer's expense. Literally all other countries have some punishment for illegally crossing the border. Additionally A number of other presidents were just as hard on the border, if not worse, than Trump was. Obama was one of them. Oh and if you dont agree with me about stricter rules... The following link shows all other countries and their consequences for crossing the border illegally. Every single one features at the very least deportation, Most of them have jail sentences between 6 weeks and 10 years, and just about all of them feature some kind of fine. But the US is the bad one here... The hypocrisy is comical.

Besides, the biggest criticism of USAs immigration system is how retarded it is. People can be in the process of trying to gain American citizenship for over 10 years which is absurd and a clear sign of the system simply not working. Giving a simple and clear path for citizenship would solve like 99% of all the illegal immigration issues that USA has which is kind of what people have been screaming about for the last few decades. The fact that its such a big problem and has such a simple and obvious solution is maddening.

The biggest issue I have with our system is the damn cost. I have an old friend of mine who came here and the process took several years and cost like 10k dollars.

That is another issue. Like seriously, citizenship is just paperwork. There is no reason it should be any more difficult than signing a few papers and I suppose handing over some information like fingerprints and DNA samples in case you want to cosplay your favorite Hollywood dystopian police state. In, out, 10 minute adventure and you should be able to register a citizenship realistically speaking.
