The U. S. Army announced a major policy shift on Friday, stating it will no longer allow “transgender-identifying” individuals to join the military. This decision also halts all medical procedures related to gender transition for current service members.

The policy change was made effective immediately, with the Army clarifying that those who have served with gender dysphoria will continue to be treated with respect.

I swear, if it wasn’t for the right wingers, I’d never even HEAR about trans people. And I have trans friend (or maybe friendly acquaintance is more accurate) I see every so often, and even they don’t talk about it. They go to a therapist, and they said they talk WAY more about struggles with ADHD, trans issues aren’t a big part of it.

This is a SUPER small group of people who you probably won’t even have to interact with, so I just don’t understand why the right wingers can’t shut up about trans people. I’m generally supportive of trans people, but there’s no heavy “pro-trans” movement going on on the left. I missed the memo if there is. Rainbows at Target in June aren’t it, lmfao. Even Bud Light, those cans they made were of various social media influencers, one of them happened to be trans, and hillbillies made a mountain out of an anthill about it. Kid Rock was so triggered, lmfao.

Anything “trans” is like.001% of life in reality right now, so I don’t even know why everyone is so fired up, as if it’s sweeping the nation. Don’t we have REAL problems to worry about?

Not so long ago people were joining the military and getting free transgender surgery which was costing about $30,00 per surgery.
But the military figured out that they were in the military just to have the free surgery. So they put a stop 🛑 to it.

Transgenders are the most suicidal and self-harming demographic on the planet, with an abundance of ongoing special medical needs, not to mention being non-deployable and generally untrainable for roughly a year after "treatment." By that trait alone, it makes no sense whatsoever for the military to recruit or coddle them, when much less extreme mental disorders are still (rightfully) considered permanent disqualifiers.

If you can't face the pressure of being the gender you were born in you shouldn't be facing military pressure. Gender dysphoria is a mental disorder after all and we should not give people with mental disorders army positions. If you have any kind of DSM-5 classification something as intense as the military is probably not a good idea.

It feels more like they're trying to get trans officers to resign or act out so they can be fired, by fucking with their medications and isolating them inside.
