The department of education just creates strings of control for grants of federal funds.. Get rid of the department transfer its statistic collection to anther agency and either stop handing out the money or hand it out in block grants.

The Local or State Government is more than capable of running their own schools and if they are not, they can actually hold elections on the subject unlike the Feds.

Sorry to say but the same guy elected for fighting wars and running prisons doesn't necessary make him a good fit for running.

Maybe that is why they now function like that.

We were planned as constitutional federated republic. I support canceling every law and policy banned by it. Each state should stand on its own. Before you respond, read every word of the Constitution and both Federalist and Antifederalist Papers. I won't be giving Civics classes here today. You can get that for free online at Hillsdale College.

These states will not lose anything. There still will be money for schools. It will be distributed like always and it will be up to the individual states how it will be spent. They have a better idea on what they need than the Teachers union run DOE

"Maga's" don't understand very much, and this is way over their heads. They seem to believe that cutting waste and fraud among "users" in general will be enough to revamp the tax system and ease their burdens. Then again, they are THE most misguided group of people you're probably ever going to meet.

I'm not sure I understand the question/ comment.
I would point out that one thing I'm not a fan of Trump doing this go round. Last term he lowered cap on SALT deductions that allow highly taxed blue state residents to not feel the pain of their high state and local tax rate. My understanding is that he is not going to do that again.

I don’t know how the other states get funding for their schools. But the state that I live in. Has property tax, state tax and sales tax. Plus others. If any of my money funds schools in other states. Then let them pay their own way!
