Well as we know Red States don’t give as much as they take from Federal Govt

And as we all know Blue States give a lot and take less.

In theory, if Blue States pulled away financially from US Govt the Red States would be screwed financially.

There is a political mirage that Republicans keep saying, that Red States are better financially, can secede anytime, and frankly better healthcare and better management than Blue States. With one snap of the finger, that mirage is gone.

Do I believe in Blue States pulling out to suppress Red States? No, of course not.
However The Electoral College gives The South an edge over the popular vote (ignoring the 2nd terms of George Bush Jr. and Donald J Trump as the only exceptions)

When you take into consideration, it makes sense The North would want or need its own edge when the US President who is supposed to serve Both Parties, All People turns against an “enemy from within” and threatens the delicate balance of The Country in terms of Checks And Balances then maybe it is justified.

The South sparked The Civil War by illegally seizing Military Fortifications, Seceding from The Union, and refusing to bring about a peaceful solution even as President Abraham Lincoln said we’ll allow you to keep slavery as long as you rejoin The Union. Trump is sparking a heated Left V. Right through “enemy from within” talks and sending military force to scare political opponents. Blue States might have a reason to cut Federal funds and have Red States carry their own weight just to force Trump’s hand.
The Founders wanted Checks And Balances, this would be one of them.

I was talking to a colleague, they reminded me that Republicans said the country would be better off if Democrats seceded. Well according to this poll, those same Republicans call it “ Insurrection “.
They call it insurrection because they know the outcome of a such a financial pullout. They know and they want it covered up and quick.

Well it would possibly be an act of treason or insurrection or revolution depending how the US government wants to label it and of course would mean the deployment of the US military to arrest those politicians and seize the city. You might say they can't do that because of the Posse Comitatus Act but the government could dissolve, suspend or find some clever loop hole or law that allows them to do that. Not unlike with Lincoln and states rights andSuspended Habeas Corpus. You might say that it's illegal but it will be legal when they are doing it and maybe judged illegal a few years later when its done. Its not unlike the Vietnam war where troops were deployed with no declaration of war or the illegal invasion of Iraq, they can find a way to bend, break and twist the law to whatever end.

I'd love this to happen, but the Dems are even bigger boot lickers then the repubs. So I highly doubt it. If states start with holding tax money the union is dead. And the world would be a much better place, but it's not gonna happen. At most you might see a city do it to make a big show for a couple of weeks
