President Trump just signed an executive order cutting off all benefits paid by the federal government to illegal aliens! This is a monumental move. It's about freaking time somebody did this!

USAID has been corrupt (and blatantly illegal) for 60 years. The Treasury has been compromised and undermined about as long as the Fed has existed, and foreign fraud programs have been a problem since the US abandoned isolationism, but especially once Social Security was established. Every president since then could've ordered an appointee to audit the books, and they haven't. In fact, outside of some libertarians, there haven't even been many candidates who seriously pushed for it.

I think that it's possible a Vivek Ramaswany presidency would've done something similar, but there's no way that a DeSantis, Haley, or Democrat run administration would.

Not very surprised by this. If a field is not mandatory & validated it will not be filled in or else it will be used for a different purpose. With my apartment block it has been very difficult to get the services companies to properly assign invoices to budget line items.

So I truly feel Musk's frustrations. He'd have to be able to trace the money to suppliers so a degree of retro analysis should be possible. But with my apartment block analogy, payment systems can amalgamate payments so two $100 payments become a $200 bank payment. It rapidly becomes tricky to match up.

It wouldn't have never been exposed, None of it would be exposed. Between shrinking the government, reducing waste and growing the economy the debt will be paid off faster thsn anyone would, think possible.
