Rio Grande means 'big river' in Spanish which it really only is for the region. Its a small river by the standards of most of America. its name is also the result of the unfortunate habit of the Spanish to use the same names all the time. There are around 15+ rivers in the world named Rio Grande.

Other rivers we would be probably better off renaming the "Colorado river" which is in Texas to something like the "Texas river" and avoid being confused with the much bigger and more important Colorado river that runs thou Arizona.

Well obviously I’m 41 so my childhood is long in the past. The idea of being good is very subjective, good compared to what or whom. I try to be a reasonably decent human, I think having a certain level of agreeableness is ideal. Though too much is obviously problematic. I think public health information is both mostly correct as far as what information is known and published with good intent. It’s true that the medical profession has made mistakes and hurt people.
