America is going isolationist and cutting budgets. We can't even say we're devoted to NATO anymore.
All of the countries we used to send aid to that gave us preferential treatment whe dealing for rare minerals etc.. are now turning to China s they are consistent at least. Our former trade partners that Trump has pissed off, Canada will no longer send us oil or lumber, and has ceased buying US produce such as soybeans (a disaster for our farmers) Gonna get harder to make cars now as we partner with Canada and Mexico inn making them. But Trump urinated on them. It'll be awhile before the full economic impact is felt, but it's gonna be bad as there are amny many many more examples of countries going elsewhere with their business, and mostly to China, and in some circumstances Russia.
Countries that chiefly trade with China will more likely trade in Chinese currency. The dollar has been the global standard for quite a long time. This will end.
So yeah, long story short it will be China, but Russia will also benefit. Trump is pushing everyone away with his nasty erratic behavior. Would YOU want him as a trade partner?12 Reply

1 yThere is no one superpower anymore; that's how things have been for a while. It's not anyone's "fault," it's just the evolution of the world. Come on, let's be real: NATO outlived its usefulness back in the 90s. The BRICS have eroded US economic superiority as a simple evolution of market factors over the last 40 years. Any notion that the US was dominant in the last 20 years is the result of the corporate fascist scam that took over the US bureaucratic state. Tell us that we're great so we can feel good that our empathy is letting us get robbed blind.
The only reason the US had the dominance it did was because the rest of the economically developed world had blown itself to smithereens. And god only knows that the Western military industrial complexes have done their level best to perpetuate that chaos and destruction, but the reality is that times have changed.

Yeah, I'd agree with that... But what makes you say it's one or the other, rather than both?

No shit 😂
What I'm asking is why do you think there has to be a unipolar power structure in the world instead of power sharing?
1 yAmerica is in the decline. The western nations are moving away from American influence and economic power. Current events have proven that the USA is an unreliable allies. America no longer has moral authority. Its foreign policy is a mess and inconsistent. It may have Nukes but on its current path will no longer be a super power within a decade. Its ability to influence world affairs will be much less.

m 1 yThe United States is still the superpower. They might choose not to execute this power. China looks strong now but will be diminished by the demographic factor. India is still busy building public toilets. The EU could be a superpower if they would really build up the idea of a European army.
20 Reply 26.5K opinions shared on Society & Politics topic. The US is back in the drivers seat. Cutting waste from government will make us stronger and encouraging energy production and domestic jobs will make the dollar stronger.
Investing in the military and in Artificial intelligence will keep up one step ahead of China.
Shuttering government agencies that do nothing but line the pockets of politicians and their friends will lower the Federal budget and untimately redice the National Debt.212 Reply- 1 y
Letting NATO skate on ther responsibility while shouldering the burden is poor leadership. Calling the deadbeats out is not isolationist. Sizing down foreign aid is not either. Insisting on reciprocal trading deals is not either. What is wrong with insisting on fair treatment. ? And whoever does not like it, can go squat.

@WhiteBoyChill who knows. There was 5 wars a year a century before America became the world police. And zero European wars afterwards.
- 1 y
Don’t you think times in Europe have changed since then tho?
Don’t you think the mentality of not starting wars with eachother is probably baked into their minds by now? - 1 y
@WhiteBoyChill Poland has the most far right govt in decades. Afd just got 19% in the last election. Do you really think a European war... or even a scuffle is that ridiculous? More arms they have the more they're likely to use them

I dont see it realistically happening since war is only really perceived as a negative thing nowadays. And never a positive.
Nevermind the simple fact that nobody in Europe seems to express any desire or appetite for war
Anonymous(18-24)1 yAmerica has been spending too much for too long. We can't continue with this. We need to start examining what we are spending at home and abroad. Too long we've been writing blank checks. One example was did Gazza really need $50 million in condoms when they were in desperate need of food and medicine? Should the us government be paying for lgbtq and gender lessons in africa and Asia?

113 ReplyBased on what DOGE found our government is even more corrupt and careless with tax dollars Than I could have even imagined. Let’s get this straight. This corruption is what you’re wholly supporting.
That’s because you love the corruption.
The dem politicians love the money laundering. I can’t for the life of me see why you midwits are for the corruption but here we are
Was he convicted of money laundering?
• Activists create obscure NGO
• Dems fund it lavishly
• NGO does bare minimum (or actively hurts the United States)
• Activists get paid and donate to DemsChelsea Clinton receives annually-recurring funding from USAID, allocated by Obama for her Foundation, which provides afternoon meals to children in Africa, India, and Bangladesh.
However, as of today, the reported number of meals served stands at 11,886, implying an astonishing cost of $1,410 per meal.
