The "free world" is simply an abstraction, a concept that no one has even bothered to define properly. It's often also called the "rules based order", but whose "rules" are we considering here, and why?
Why must it be a Western country that "holds the reigns"? Doesn't that exclude the vast majority of nations on planet Earth? Why must any nation "hold the reigns"? Why can't every country be treated with the same amount of respect and consideration? Why must one nation lead while the others follow? That sounds like EMPIRE to me.
