Is it fair for people with families to lose their job under the pretense that it’s saving the government money?

I have been fired before. I knew it was always a business decision and it is just part of life. I cannot understand why there is all the screaming and demonstrations about this. I worked for a business that was bought by a competitor and the whole business was being moved to another state. We did not picket the place and call the TV stations. I worked for another company and it was a very high paying position but after 9/11 happened business took a drastic downturn and half the office was laid off including me. We did not whine and blame the CEO form being a meanie.
America is having a budget crisis. Thr national debt in 36 Trillion Dollars. The service on the debt is 1 trillion dollars a year. Larger than our defense budget.
This cannot be sustained and cuts have to be made. The government headcount has almost doubled while Biden was in office. The annual deficit has been 2 trillion dollars since covid.
President Trump created the Dept. of Government Efficiency to investigate government agencies and find waste and corruption. In just a few weeks it has looked at just a couple , of agencies and some government contracts and found billions of dollars going to foreign countries to fund ridiculous pet projects that do nothing to benefit American taxpayers.

Recent polls show President Donald Trump's approval rating is at a dismal 45%.
Elon Musk's approval rating is even lower, at 34%, with many disapproving of his access to government databases.
Yet Musk is bragging about it, waving around a chainsaw as a symbol of his approach to government efficiency.

And those agencies that you think are a waste, are the same agencies that check if your food is contaminated by anything (as in recalls) and anything else needing recalls, such as cars, baby seats, and any other machine that may be faulty. Medicines will go unchecked with many medical agencies and researchers losing their jobs.
Do you really think that Musk, a man who has made billions of dollars since being given this DOGE job, really cares about saving money for YOU? It is HIS own pockets that are being filled with money--as well as Trump's, and you are too naive to know about it.

The reasons are: gullibility and stupidity. Magats believe whatever Elon and the fuhrer tell them, despite his numbers being disproven over and over again. They also think saving a few million here and there will somehow compensate for the BILLIONS that the wealthiest are taking from them. But as you know, the President "loves uneducated people".

No, it's not fair. This is sudden and with no warning--but then we have a nut job in the Whitehouse and his Master who is also going crazy firing everyone. I wonder if any of those fired were MAGAS and how they feel now.

It's one thing to cut down on spending-- and it's another thing to take what people depend on to make a living--their jobs. Whomever is celebrating has no sense of humanity nor decency.

What people need to do --is not buy anything for a week or two--and see how it impacts the economy. People need to understand one thing; that THEY, the govenment--NEEDS us, We do not need THEM. They want and need OUR money.

On February 28th, there is a People's Union who is encouraging others not to buy ANYTHING. If everyone does this--it will show the govt how strong people can be--and how it can impact our economy. I'm in.
