It is a sad day for America when we have to take "Boy" out of "Boy Scouts". God forbid boys have something of their own. But come to think about it, males and masculinity have been under attack for some time.

Look at cartoons aimed for children today. Cartoons used to endorse heroism, action, bravery, and were more authentic. If you turn on Cartoon Network today, you would think you were watching Nick Junior. Even some of the shows back then aimed for girls were more action and heroic.

The Boy Scouts changed their name to Scouts BSA because they started to allow girls to join, not to "emasculate boys." As for cartoons, I fail to see how changes to the art style of cartoons somehow relates to the emasculation of boys. Cartoons also have various plots and theme. Not every cartoon is based around action, which includes past cartoons. Many cartoons focus on friendship, school life, talking animals, and so on. Merely because a cartoon isn't action themed doesn't mean it intends to emasculate boys. I also fail to see how Boy Scouts changing their name and the art style and premise of cartoons somehow relates to the "political left." I'm more concerned about the Boy Scouts' long history of molesting little boys rather than the organization dropping "boy" from their name. Also, you're 29. You're too old to be worried about cartoons. I'm quite sure the little kids watching the cartoons are not complaining about how "the left" is drawing and portraying their favorite characters, unlike like the near 30-year-old man here.

Adventure Time appealed to boys a lot, Regular Show appealed to boys a lot. Ninjago Lego / Star Wars Lego / Star Wars The Clone Wars appealed to boys a lot. Though funny thing about putting Steven Universe in there, is Rebecca Sugar wrote the songs for Adventure Time which from that experience was able to work on bigger projects ‘Steven Universe’ which the main character is based on her real life brother.

Steven in the show is a silly goofy child that gets strung along on adventures then the viewer watches him grow forming relationships & navigating human concepts / emotions / personal struggles while also trying to navigate ‘alien life’ since he’s a hybrid. To all it ‘feminizing men’ is stupid, it is showcasing real human constructs and showcasing how men can get a grip & adapt / overcome like all humans.

Gravity Falls is masculine and awesome too.

Okay so if you look at ‘Looney Tunes’ I could argue that isn’t truly masculine compared to ‘Samurai Jack’ or 1930s/1950s Mickey Mouse Cartoon / Tom And Jerry isn’t masculine to Avatar The Last Airbender.

I do believe boys should have programs of their own, and so do girls. There are plenty of co-ed activities available anyways. There is a lot of development going on in those critical years, and we should foster those programs for boys for them to one day become men.

The ones then were portrayed toughness and heroism
You can look at the art styles themselves and recognize the tone.
The ones now give the vibe where creators would be like "yeah... we can't do that because it shows a gun or a fight... let's replace that scene with goofy giggles and butterflies"

Boys should be able to be boys. Daring, adventurous, tough, etc... The Boy Scouts of America has allowed girls in certain programs ever since I was a child. You had Venture Crews and Explorer Posts that were co-ed. They didn't need to completely change the name of a historic institution that has been around for over 100 years. I was in Boy Scouts during the Centennial Celebration. I remember the red shoulder loops in our uniforms transitioned into an army green.
