That tells us something. "Why do you have hatred of Putin?" I don't know, because he's genociding Ukrainians, chode.
5.3K opinions shared on Society & Politics topic. Oh, hell no.
Putin's caused the deaths of tens of thousands of Ukrainians, including in horrific war crimes, and stolen thousands of their children.
Trump thinks that's all forgivable, for the right price.

Will be interesting to see how the internal American Military feel about trump supporting Putin so openly. They are going to be trumps downfall. He has insulted them so much and now this.
@dustybiker2 Trump is a coward like most bullies.

It was completely disgraceful to treat a foreign leader like that. Abominable. I'm outside the states, but from what I've heard about DOGE and Musk and all the cuts, Americans are gonna suffer more than anyone. I'd say whatever Americans have to do to bring down this criminal administration would be not only moral, but necessary.

1 yIf I invite someone into my home, no matter how low they are, I treat them with more respect than that.
Yesterday I saw an article in the daily mail about an American fast food chain hoping to open in the UK. The vast number of reader comments were calling for a boycott. That's the effect Trump is having on US business interests abroad.57 Reply- 1 y
Really? I think I'd do the opposite. If someone of import showed up at my door and I had to host them I'd give them a lot more leeway than I would some pauper coming to me begging for money and security. In the first scenario I'd be somewhat gracious because I have to be. In the latter I'd be pissed if the guy wasn't happy with the billions of dollars I'd already given him.

@Ladsin2 Your response wasn't particularly clear, I read it as you wouldn't tell the lie in public, which is why I asked about in private.
Trump already called Zelensky a dictator in public and claimed against all reason that Ukraine started the invasion, also in public. He's repeatedly lied about how much the US has given Ukraine and what strings were attached to European funds. In public.
Trump is shaming himself and his country by behaving this way.
What did Zelensky say in public that deserved the treatment he got?
1K opinions shared on Society & Politics topic. I think the worst part of that was just shouting over the top , this is not dealmaking or debate , its just bullieboy stuff , reality TV , these are International relations.

@DryGermanGuy Oh i just found him. He is good. I managed to stay out of politics for a few years, lovely breather, and now feel the need to catch up. Trump is doing too much damage not to follow.
- 1 y
And yes. On point.
- 1 y
@DryGermanGuy Oh, yeah, the "Russia, Russia, Russia...", I wonder if Zelenskey recorded the conversation that led to Trump's first impeachment. I guess not, because that really would have made a difference to the election. I wonder if the people in the impeachment trial asked if it existed.

Zelenskyy's expressions are what to watch in that clip. You can mute trumps plastic points.

1 yno he recognizes people with power and those that don't. But, he has pushed back during press conferences with UK and other leaders. Again, he is fine talking to them telling them things... as they lack power.

1 yNah, tRump wouldn't talk that way to Putin. It's hard to talk when you're on your knees with your mouth full or bent over a couch in the Oval Office with a big smile on your face.
20 Reply No, because he has to make a deal with Russia. He doesn't have to make a deal with Ukraine. It's like if you ask a colleague to your house, or one of your kid's friends. Do you treat them the same? Clearly not.
112 Reply- 1 y
@Pet68 No. Because children aren't adults. Because you're hosting someone who's of the same standing as you are as opposed to someone begging you for money. You treat both parties well, but they aren't the same.
I find the opposite. I find that Zelensky's behavior was terrible. Trump was docile and calm for ~45 minutes of the meeting as the disrespect continued to escalate. Eventually they had enough. I had enough. If I were in Trump's shoes I would stop all aid going to Ukraine forthwith. Let them go to the Europeans for help. I'm done.
26.4K opinions shared on Society & Politics topic. Yes, if Putin had come to the White House and started making demands he absolutely would have called him out on it.
16 Reply- 1 y
He misunderstood his role in this. /he was not the one in charge, Trump was right in telling him he was not holding any of the cards. Zalensky went to Europe to speak to the British PM and other leaders. They showed him a lot of moral support but basically said he would have to make some kind of deal with the United States.
- 1 y
Exit, he just stated FACTS about previous ceasefire and our 1994 commitments. Facts are kryptonite to Trump. He gets pissy n then the tantrum.

Yes. Very presidential. Very much in our interests to not support Ukraine. Trump is always right. 🙄🤡
@DrPepper12 Trump clearly states he wants the killing to end and America’s financial drain. THAT is in our interest. There was a time when the left didn’t want war either, but now you cockgobble the military industrial complex
