Trump has done everything possible to get a peace settlement done. He should continue sanctions and encourage others to also sanction Russian products.
When Russia gets poor enough Putin will be ready to deal
The US is no longer funding this war and by selling weapons to NATO, the US actually makes some money. I see that as a win.

If I were Trump, I would tell Putin to get the hell out of Ukraine this second or I would send my army to take Russia in two.
I am sending the army to Eastern Europe, I am offering unprecedented military and economic aid to Ukraine.
I am doing some close-range missile tests with Russia and comparing my economic, military and judicial power.
I would also continue to put pressure on NATO and the EU to arm themselves, but without blackmailing them.
Only conditioning the number of my troops with their military progress.
If I do not see improvements in the equipment of the armies, the increase in the number of soldiers and the NATO percentage according to the assumptions, then my troops will not come in such large numbers either.
We are all defending ourselves.
And I would probably meet just to do what Trump did with Zelensky, to tell him "you don't have the cards".
I'll tell him what kind of economy he has, what conditions are in Siberia with toilets in the yard or even in the ditch.
